Correct. Main difference is that single drop is made on pulling up and doubledrop is made with keeping a stable descent.

Lately I suck with single bomb. I haven't used it much lately and can't judge the trajectory. 2 bombs on the other hand I can make laser accurate.

Im on the opposite LOL. Really digging the single drop function. Ive found that it depends on the "gut instinct" a lot more and HUD drop a lot less. I would still be trying to figure otu when to drop, luckily even single drops can be made purely by HUD aim.

I prefer single drop because it allows for more cannon action.

I rule with single and double drop bombing. I can make both soo freakin accurate in any situation. In the middle of a dogfight, I could easily land a bomb square on a tank or an APC with any jet...

Fvck no... Share the knowledge man. I can land a missile on a tank evey single time, but it just does ridiculously low damage for me.

Here... check this out... I JUST made it. When you shoot a tank with A2A missles, don't bother unless you have a good shot at the rear. Give it some cannon + a missle or 2, and he is toast.. even from full health.

(even though the cannon is facing the jet, that is the rear of the tank.)

You should try it some time.. you might surprise yourself.. lol

Basically, A2A missles = a weak SRAW. They have about the same splash too... So yes.. you can use them on groups of infantry .

How do you mod the game?


I know you probably just make a copy of the BF2 folder and mod that, and it is a mod.. right?

BTW, the A2A missles are weird...

They do 50% damage to other jets, but when it comes to tanks, it does the EXACT damage a SRAW does...

If you hit 2 on the tracks, it will die.

Find this folder
D:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\mods\bf2
Look up a zipped file named "Objects server" or something.

Youll find the files with handling and damage data, aswell as a lot of other stuff to mess with.

The files you should be altering are the tweak files.

Just drag that tweak file out to your desktop, open with notepad and later drag it into where it belongs. I use WinRAR and it makes overwriting those files easy.

With bombers, its pretty bad if you drop 4 + 1, but through some off fluke I once could select the number of bombs I dropped per load (3 + 2 for example). Ive tried to duplicate it, but never was successful.

A much better way:
Drop one by interrupting it by switching to A2A before dropping the second.

Drop the second.

Rearm for two.

Now you drop one at a time.

You just use the "switch to missle" trick..

Say you want to drop 3 bombs..


Drop 1 bomb by using the trick (the second you see the first bomb drop, switch to missles.)

Then drop the 2nd one that way, then reload, and you will drop 3 bombs next time you press the bomb button.
