    Re: SoldierOfChrist's Sniper Guide -{+}-

I too am in love with sniping. Ive found a great combo for short/medium range sniping with the M95. 80% of the time u snipe with this rifle the enemy will die on the first hit, but if they dont, instead of reloading the M95, pull out your pistol, zoom in and click twice and hes dead. Works great for me. this can also be done at long range but the targest must be still for the duration or you must have a large screen/luck.

good guide by the way

Accuracy is a player related factor, not a spec on the rifle. What you mean to say is Deviation. Having said this not all the bolt-actions rifles have the same deviation when zoomed. The M95 has a 0,01 Deviation and the M24 and L96A1 both have a 0,005 Deviation. For Stats on the weapons check this Stickied thread Weapons Chart by Black_Duck_1 on this forum.

          About Bullet Drop ...

BULLETDROP IS THE SAME FOR ALL WEAPONS IN THE GAME

This has allready been confirmed 9 months ago by the people at DICE

It was discussed ages ago on the Total BF2 forums. It began when somebody did tests on bulletdrop on Gulf of Oman and the thread got a lot of peeps replying to it. I think the OP finaly came into contact with somebody at DICE which confirmed the bulletdrop ingame. I found the thread --> Bulletdrop Thread - Total BF2 Forums.

I found the original interview Total BF2-Armando Marini
Scroll down for the part on bulletdrop.

Results after testing were as follows ...

Testing again was done by Black_Duck_1.

The results were measured in a level firing field. Ingame you will have to compensate for being either on an higher or lower elevation than your targets position.

In BF2 bulletspeed is the same for all weapons so how on earth can the drop be different Einstein? If you dont understand the concept of game mechanics you could at least try to check the game files or trust people who do know what they are talking about. I for one have made over 12.000 kills with the sniper rifles and taking into account the drop over distances greater than 400 meters has become second nature for me. You should allready compensate for distances over 150 meters. But if you want to believe its different be my guest. It does make your guide less than usefull in retrospect however.

I'm writing my guide from how I play, sir.

And when I play on MY computer..the bullet drop varys between rifles..deal with it.

I don't chare about the little "Tests" that guy ran, it varys for me..once again..deal with it.

If you have a problem for me stating bullet drop is different from personal experiance, get over it, because I'm keeping it as it is.

Never run with your pistol out.
I always run with my rifle, and when I see someone, I always go prone, and usualy they do too, so I have an easy shot at there head.
                    Works everytime.
