I'm winding down a little bit.. Buying 2142 for me is still up in the air. right now i'm waiting for Need For Speed: Carbon to come out for PC. If that sucks, I'll look at 2142..

I'll see you there! Been waiting for drifting to come back and its finally back in NFS: Carbon. Demo should be out any day now for PC. In fact we have been playing NFSU2 again been drifting using Hamachi since EA shut down all the NFSU2 servers. PM me if you wanna join and I'll give you the server details.

I have only played 1 round of 1.4 and haven't played since. I'm bored ****less with BF2 now, in fact wtf am I doing here still, guess I must be bored. :laugh:

I'm getting tired of playing already to some extent, I think 2142 will be really good. I played the beta and I guess that is when my interest for regular BF2 started waning. I don't play as often as I used to. I really wish that they would release some official maps or something. RocketChild started a thread with a great idea for keeping the game alive, I sure hope they decide to do something here soon.

So after BF2 detox, I haven't had the urge to go back in for hours at a time. Just over that addiction I suppose. But I do want to really get into 2142 in a big way. Probably just because I'm hoping to lose the idiots and that there will be a lot more team based play.

Sorry mate, most of the idiots will go with the same flow that you are looking forward to. I'm rather waiting for the other big BF2 mods to come out!

thinking about uninstalling it, mods may keep it on my comp but thats about it.

Been playing Company of Heroes, (ROCKS!) should keep be going till 2142 comes out.

I'm 3,000 points from the magic 50k and thats when it starts!

I have just taken 3 weeks off (work reasons) and when i came back i didn't realise how much i missed the game. It will be a sad day when BF2 ceases to be.

Just a thought that someday, DiCE will build a completely new engine for another FPS game. Whether EA pairs DiCE with another company to do some console game or MMPOG is not clear. But I do enjoy their product line and if there is a BF3 (name it what you will) I most likely will buy into that product and not 2142 (I never got BF:V just figured I skip the half-breeds).

Anyone else winding down on BF2 and waiting for 2142? I recently stopped playing BF2 for the last 3 weeks or so, perhaps playing just two rounds since 1.4 came out. I have about 350 hours in to BF2. But I got busy with life, and finally getting around to playing HL2 and a couple other games.

after hitting over 60k, Im not winding down as of now.
Im hoping once BF2142 Comes out, All of the "idiots" will flock to BF2142.

Well, actually that comment about more teamwork in BF 2142 is somewhat true.

You see, awards in 2142 are worth points towards you're overall global score. So, if you want to get promoted faster, or just simply want to win the round, you must help out your team. The stats system has been redesigned to get rid of those loop holes in BF2 (kill>revive>repeat). How do I know this? Search TBF2142 forums and you'll find more information.
