Weaned from BF2

Anyone else winding down on BF2 and waiting for 2142? I recently stopped playing BF2 for the last 3 weeks or so, perhaps playing just two rounds since 1.4 came out. I have about 350 hours in to BF2. But I got busy with life, and finally getting around to playing HL2 and a couple other games.

So after BF2 detox, I haven't had the urge to go back in for hours at a time. Just over that addiction I suppose. But I do want to really get into 2142 in a big way. Probably just because I'm hoping to lose the idiots and that there will be a lot more team based play.

ye since summer i play at night more than in the day so i play for maby 1 30 mins a day MABY otherwise im probly not gunna get 2142 cause bf2 is just ok as it is and 2142 looks like it wont be as good as bf2.

i feel like i dont want to play bf2 anymore, i have bout 400 - 500 hours clocked on bf2 i think im just bored with it i guess, im just waiting for bf2142 to come out.

I still have passion for BF2...though at times, it is like a girl that I like to have rough sex with. It is still a great game but, I don't think I am going to buy another DiCE/EA product for awhile...well, at least not till BF3 comes out (if it does).

This is not a bash of DiCE, just that I only came back to gaming after retiring because of BF-DC. Got burnt out on Quake and had to make a switch which ended up me quitting gaming for several years.

Now BF2 brought me back, but I feel like after I am through BF2, if QWET does not take my soul, I will be out of the gaming arena for a little while.

I have no doubts that 2142 will be good and fun! DiCE is good at that part. Just that BF2 is what I really want from a game. Not a WWII game and not some future/fantasy game either.

Winding down??
Im just gearing UP (had BF2 since release) It just gets better and better!!
Its my first FPS game and im now getting really good at it after 300hours.
Long live BF2
Im in two minds about 2142, i dont really like all that lazer crap. Much prefer modern weapons. But if it will be as much fun as BF2 then i might be able to adapt :hmm:

I'm winding down a little bit.. Buying 2142 for me is still up in the air. right now i'm waiting for Need For Speed: Carbon to come out for PC. If that sucks, I'll look at 2142..

No way am I winding down. I still love bf2 and will probably still play once BF 2142 comes out. Going to own both. I'll play between them. Plus I want to try FH2 when it comes out.

Oh yeah, I am sure that the release of a new game will increase teamwork, and it will probably kill nuisances like dolphin diving and bunnyhoping.

Especially seeing how this game will be lame, and mainly for the those "idiots" that play BF2; because, any rational human being has seen the failures in BF2 that were never addresses.

Disclaimer: I love playing BF2. I don't hate DICE or EA. I simply am waiting to buy a quality product named ET:QW, which recently pushed back its release date. Where as 2142 has pushed up its release date. Good Luck with that bag of bugs, kiddies.
