I think it might have something to do with dodgy hit detection?

I've said it a million times, just make it so the damned things aren't PERFECTLY accurate.

You thereby reduce the ability to machine-snipe anything that can be seen and hurt. Problem solved. But will it happen? Of course not. 2142 marketing takes precedence.

            yeh it is

i don't think mg:s are any less accurate when moving than not, hmgs seem to have 0.1 min dev and that's about it.. just that when you're moving, your shot at server end originates from different point that what's shown on your screen

if you're static, and your target is moving, figuring out the lead is much easier than other way around

and if both are moving .. good luck

The bullet reg in this game is terrible. That's all it comes down to.

You just have to lead targets and understand all that velocity and time and distance crap. I've even taken down a couple of people with the Sky Cow .50 cals whilst it was flying.

Of course, usually i just fly it alone to somewhere somewhere safe, land it and use the .50 cals to kill everything (even better and easier when you do that with the blackhawk, but you're more likely to have passengers that want to get dropped off at a flag when using the BH, nobody ever uses the Sky Cow)

And you have to be a psychic to hit someone if your ping is high.

Because you're moving. Want an example of how this is done?

Go outside. Take a bunch of rocks, and get in your car. Drive down some country lane, and throw the rocks at fence posts, and count how many you hit. Now, stop the car, and throw the rocks while standing still.

                    Notice a difference?

IF you are moving forward at 50MPH then wouldnt the bullets be moving 50 MPH forward even if you are shooting to the side. I may be wrong but you may have to aim a little to the side of the enemy to kill him.

Think of it like you are in the back seat of the car going over 60MPH and then they stop suddenly. you fly forward a bit. imagine that same thign happening but while you are beign launched out of a cannon or something.

i really don't think i've ever killed anyone while firing from a moving vehicle. i know i've hit one or 2 people but thats about it

Meanwhile plane guns shoot like sniping machine guns while going 800 MPH. If they wanted to truly balance things up, they'd disable the tank driver machine gun so that someone would need to be in the turret for machine gun support, and just make the turret act the way the driver machine gun acts now. I wouldn't like it, since I kick *** with tanks, but it would promote teamwork and make the vehicle turrets more than death traps.
