Your kind of missing the point, Hidden was saying how ridiculous the requirements are to play BF2, which for a lot of people is true. Secondly, when you're 14, schoolwork should be much more important than getting a crappy minimum wage job (if you can even find one so young). Even if he did get a job it would take months to work up enough cash and by then BF2 will probably be fading away...:cry:

The requirements are not ridiculous for Battlefield 2.

There were a lot of mature posts in this thread offering up helpful suggestions, and he blew up at them simply because hes obviously not willing to work for what he wants. He just wants to blame circumstances that nobody in this thread really cares about. Perhaps the most annoying thing about it, is the fact that hes throwing malicious insults at us, because hes angry at... well, I won't say, as that would make things personal, and it's not really our business anyways. I don't know why be brings that stuff up.

All I can really say to people like him is, don't fish for sympathy, and then scream when you don't get it.

matgn03, the requirements are obviously extremely high and thank you for agreing with me. i put this thread up sop people could discuss their opinions on how high the standards for this game are. and by the time i get enough money to buy the game, the PS, the graphics card, it will be too late. the game will have faded. 18-25 hours a week for below minumum wage is total BS.

Getting a new card or anything isn't just for BF2. BF2142 is coming out soon, as well as a lot of other awesome games, which you could use that card for them.

Ok dude, if you're bitching at what the requirements to run BF2 are, you're in for a really huge f**king surprise when Vista is released. "Not having to do much" has gone away now, games are moving forward. Anyone on an older system like yours is going to get left behind, and fast.

This time next year, you won't be playing ANY games unless you have a really good computer (By today's standards. By then, that'll be the norm).

3 to 4 years old? Dude, that's a f*cking eternity as far as computers are concerned. My computer is a year old and I need an upgrade to play with any kind of good settings. All I need to know is that your videocard can't handle BF2 to know that your computer is outdated.

When Vista comes out, there's going to be PLENTY of games for it. They have to make use of DirectX10 after all. And the jewel in the crown - Ever heard of a little game called Crysis?

I doubt your friend's computer will be able to handle Crysis, that's the kind of game it is. Actually, I know it won't. Because he doesn't have a DX10 card.
