some good idea's but i dont see anyone mentioning this factor.

arty kills go towards youre global kills ?yes?

but you dont get points for them? no?

maybe if you could keep track of arty kills on a new account,and take them away from youre global kills it may add up.

just a thought.

if you have 20,000 comander points then you could have 10,000 arty kills(whitch you dont get points for)

am i way off here? or am i on to something :)

My personal opinion is that the commander scoring as we know it is only for that round, which gives commanders a shot @ a medal

Some ppl believe that if you make a lot of personal kills as commander it makes your score bigger that round, I don't believe so, but I still think it is good for a commnader to "stay busy", if he can do it, & perform all of his primary functions (this being highly dependent upon server population)

I think that as far as your global score is concerned you get credit for everything (flag cap, revive, heal, supply revive, personal kills, as well as arty kills)

I have about10,000-15,000 kills not "accounted for" in the standard stat catagories, but my kills x2 equal my combat score, so kills while commander DO count, I have not done the math, but as I have already stated, I think everything you do as commander counts globally

I think I will do some computations, & readdress this thread

WOOHOO!! It happened again! I did two rounds of jalalalalabad scoring 50 in the first and 70 in the second. I wasnt commander and before i played these rounds have a score 8220, yet when these rounds had finished and my score was logged it said i had 8420 points

If this is so then here are my stats:

Team Score = 45,458
Combat Score = 64,076
Commander Score = 27,624
Team Kills = 1,373
Team Damage = 795
Vehicle Damage = 347

Using your formula above:

45,458 + 64,076 + 27,624 - 1,373 - 795 - 347 = 134,643

Since my reported Global Score is 119,878 then I am missing, according to your formula, 14,765 points.

Again, we have the rumors and also what people take as fact. But they are wrong. Please no more "facts" and guesses. Real, documented facts only from now on.

Also, just for the record, this discrepancy showed up long before patch 1.3

You might want to lighten up and not berate people for sharing an opinion. There is no exact science to the global score.

The problem is there is weirdness in how all the scores calculate. All you need to do is look at the new players and their stats. There are anomolies everywhere. Start by looking at people with no commander time (commander arty and combat kills are used in total kills but doesn't count towards score). It should be as simple as adding combat score + team score - TK/dmg. It still doesn't aways calulate out.

The combat score with commander time is inflated by the arty and combat kills. The team points don't add up. TKs, damage and suicide don't affect scores consistently. Live with the final number, don't sweat the detail on how it calculates.

Ive calculated my scores and they all add up to my global score, so absolutely no problem there.
Only i cant count!

Commander kills are not calculated as points IAR, but are calculated as points globally because your kills x2 always equals your combat score

Commander kills are counted in your combat score, but they are not counted in your global score. The variance in most people's scores is related to the inflated combat score. You can't add the combat score to team and commander points and come up with anything close to your global score 9even wen subtracting points for tks/damage/suicide. The more commander time/points, the more likely the combat score inflates the difference in the Global score.

Well I do know that if you have a negative score @ the end of a round it does not reduce your global score
