the key t winning as mec is to keep the tanks on the defensive and not the offensive. IF you get a squad that has both tanks a couple engies. Keep them on both main roads and don't let anything through. Thats the problem is when a car full of people can drive on the outside road all the to hotel and mosque. Infantry should be able to keep people other infantry from advancing on foot through the center of the map. you have to give up the lake flag and the first 2 on the left side of the map. tanks defense = win

i see the MEC win all the time. Keep the mosque and that will aid greatly in winning.

It's insane, MEC is just such a **** team on this map for a few reasons. Most obvious is that the U.S. main base is way to close to the MEC base and the neutral base, the neutral base is a joke, it's very tough to defend against the barrage of vehicles that come from the U.S. main. The most important non-main base is the junkyard because of all the vehicles and it too is too close to the U.S. main and is too easy to capture. I've played this map 12 times now, 6 wins as U.S., 6 losses as MEC. Anyone care to add?

Have been owned as both US and MEC. Playing a really sh*t hot MEC side we've been held back at our spawn without capturing a flag! Conversly we've rolled up to the firrst flag (as US), while a 2nd squad pegs it sharpish to the back flag. 5 minutes later the battles been over.

As per all Beef maps, it's not the map it's the side you're playing on :)

It's a hard map for the MEC to win, yes.

The best MEC tactic I've seen (and tried) is forgetting about the first few flags and concentrating on defending the last 3 - the main and the two nearest flags, which are surrounded by various buildings and much easier to lock down and defend.

But the MEC team has to be willing to turtle up, which many players won't do.

Exact same experience in all aspects. It boggles me how many MEC players will zerg themselves all over the outpost while the other bases fall.

Once the Mosque is lost it's over for MEC, yet usually no more than a handful start the map defending the junkyard/marketplace.

It's no hard to win on it as MEC.
Learn to walk cloeser to the Emerys Flags and camp.
Go sniper and snip like mad on Jalalbad

believe it or not in my experience it has been completely the opposite. idk but the US team always seems to be filled with the 'tactically challenged' when i play jalalabad.

A little bit of artillery cover against the road past the nuetral base while the USMC buggies dump assault to clean out the engineers, snipers and anti tankers. Once the armor gets entry then it is easy for the squad leaders to hide and infect the MEC rear.

Jally is a can that needs to be opened just so.

The MEC side needs to turn every window, door and street into a meat grinder with everyone staying under cover. It takes the whole team to turtle up the city and keep the USMC out.

everytime I play jalalabad, I see the US losing mostly, You just need a good commander and some AT mines and Claymores if they try to sneak in the back

yeah for the mec, the usmc just get rocked if they dont squad up and work to get either the lake or the other flag. it turns into a nade fight that the usmc can never win

Thats not true i have played on that map a couple of times and have won being on the mec side.
