I know this has been argued about almost to the death its just something I had hoped would have been reviewed during the last patch.
We all know how irritating it is to get punished for accidental TK's, usually by some noob who was probably at fault for the TK anyway. This is my pet hate, ive said it so many times before , as have others but the punishment system really needs tweaking. While I agree in principal withthe punishment system as a deterant for making intentional TK's or for punishing for acts of blaitant disregard of team mates, I don't agree with many BF2 gamers use the system.
To encourage the use of the forgive option I think players should be awareded a teamplay point for each forgive they make, whilest still automatically taking away the standard TK points from the guy making the TK, and only taking the additional points away should the TK-ed party decide to punish.
I think this simple soloution of compensating a TK victim with a point or two for forgiving their team mate would help reduce the problems with noob-punishers. I know others thinkt he same as I;'ve seen this discussed before, again I'm just disapointed that this hasnt been patched into the game.
Sorry for bringing up an old topic, just needed to vent my frustrations a little after suffering dearly gaming last night for inintentional TKs - I hit a chopper with a tank shell. Problem was I was aiming for an infantry man, missed him but hit our attack chopper that the pilot had wisely decided to land onthe ground a few feet behind my skirmish, resulting in me accidentally shelling a chopper. God knows why he was landing a choper on Sharqi...
I also frequently get punished for my own team parking and leaving a vehicle on mines I set, or punishing for being hit by the claymores I lay and that enemy units set off.
You just cant win sometimes lol
Anyway discuss/flame/spam away...
