well i'm sorry to say that i dont count the number of veiws otherwise ye there is alot of new people here if you havent noticed that mostly alot of the HELP posts are from people that had jsut joind this month.

Some of it is also attributed to guests viewing the forum.

yeah, there are always a lot of guests here.

I wish more people would join and contribute. But at least they are here and maybe they will see the BFROE area so they don't get in trouble.

But true 7man, I have seen a lot of new joins in the last several weeks.

I am technically a transplant. I lurked here for a very long time while over at PlanetBattlefield (because they hosted the Desert Combat Forums). Once Eye_of_God started to post at PBF and later got the sh*t flamed out of him, I left because of his posting (almost specifically him).

I am getting close to posting a huge blast of him...I already have serveral links to threads about him over at PBF ready in my bookmarks.

He was their equivalant of TBF2's xaritix.

I don't think the high number of views are due to the patch because the traffic associated with the patch died off shortly after release. Maybe the ramping up of publicity for 2142.

That could very well be true, however, there is a lot of media in www.totalbf2142.com. It's on the homepage after all. As a mod, I have not seen too many 2142 posts, maybe like 2-3 per week if that. Since I became a member here last year, I have noticed a slight trend with patch releases and forum activity. Another thing that might be a related cause could be that the Feedback section is alive and kicking, more than ever.
I know BF2 has it's fair share of problems, but it is still one of the best games of all time. I've enjoyed sevreal hours of playing online and have met some really cool people in the process. I definitely got my moneys worth. Looking towards the future, it would be great if EA/Dice would allow the opportunity for customized maps to be allowed into the rotation of Ranked servers. This would definitely extend the life of this game. In fact, that is one of the main reasons Counter Strike has been King of the Hill for almost 8 years now.
