If you want to play wake without getting baseraped, join a game that me and nismo are on, and I can guaruntee that we won't get baseraped, and chances are we will win.

Go to the insomnia wake.. we are always in there, always on USMC. If you want a good round on the US, join our team.. lol

I usually spawn on artie island and grab a boat, then head straight for the north tip of the island. I can always get to the jeep that spawns there before any chinese players do. About half the time I can even get to the tank at the north base before someone takes it. Either way........bypass the north base and head for north village. I can cap the north village flag about 75% of the time, even if nobody spawns on me! Just about the only time I don't make it is if someone jumps in the tank and is able to hit me as I try to speed past him.

I hate the baseraping, but play USMC anyway.

I've recently been geting better and better in atack helis though, So I try n grab one of those usually

Have both Cobra pilots play as spec ops, and after you make the first enemy helo shootdown, land at the arty and sap it.

Most guys run to the beaches or camp the airport strip/pad early on, and if you're fast they won't notice you until it's too late, and thier engineers are out of position.

Once you have established a presence on the island, keep a supply crate hidden in the woods near the airport, and a spec op will have a feild day keeping the commander assets down, and tie up an engineer or two fixing it all.

What is a good strategy to use to stop base rape? Whats a good way to get to the Island fast?

i know a very easy way to get to island and not be base raped, just change team to China :P

grab a BH fully loaded and fly up really high in the sky BH pilot being a SL and you can paradrop from the BH over any flag, the Chinese airfield is best

When I get annoyed I go assault and flash-nade the basterds! :@ Throw all the flash-nades I have right infront of the attack helo or the jet (which is a bit hard :))

The best way I found to get off the carrier is not to spawn right away. Use VOIP, and have your SL spawn, then hop in a jet fly over the main island and bail out. When he lands, then have the rest of the squad spawn on the SL. But do not spawn AT ALL until SL has landed on main island.....keep a close watch on the spawn map and wait for the green dot. This way if the carrier gets raped, you only lose 1 member of the squad not everyone.....good luck.

If you are first in on the USMC side and the Chinese planes are not in the air yet, you could also make an attempt of becoming a heli-spawn if you have enough time to climb to a good height. Of course some pilots might come lookiong for you but most will be eager bombing the island and getting their kills the easy way.
I haven't tried it, but if someone has then can it be pulled off? I mean in a round where the USMC are raped so heavily they cannot make a decent landfall anywhere.

actually, the best way Ive found (and this works really well when me and my buds are on TS together)...........we decide who is going to spawn first, that person gets the jet and flys directly to the airfield and bails out, then we all spawn on him, hell some of us never even see the carrier, the more people "on the same page" and in your squad the better but Ive done it by myself already and still had enough time to cap the flag because all the PLA were on the tips of the island defending

i thought one of the recent patches prevented you from joining a squad when you're dead.

Yeah, you have to spawn before your can join a squad, unless its the begining of a round.
