I love playing Wake Island on of my favorite maps. I play USMC. Most of the time we get our Carrier raped by Hostile Forces flying jets and dropping bombs, or an assault helo. What is a good strategy to use to stop base rape? Whats a good way to get to the Island fast?

Get your jets in the air ASAP and man BOTH Essex guns. Have a squad leader fly the BlackHawk Very high over the Island and stay there. Squad spawns on him and Halo's to the bases below.Comment

Be a SL, get a jet and eject at their airfield. Then hide for a while until your squad is spawning on you. Cap the flag and protect it. :)Comment

get in a boat from the arty island the instant the map starts, speed around the far side to the north most flag on the map and take it. Everyone spawns at the two closest to the carriers or at the airfield so that point is usually empty.Comment

actually, the best way Ive found (and this works really well when me and my buds are on TS together)...........we decide who is going to spawn first, that person gets the jet and flys directly to the airfield and bails out, then we all spawn on him, hell some of us never even see the carrier, the more people "on the same page" and in your squad the better but Ive done it by myself already and still had enough time to cap the flag because all the PLA were on the tips of the island defendingComment

You could always play on a server with a 'no baserape' rule, people generally respect that and the odd player who base rapes gets kicked if admin are around...Comment

Yeah, what Batausu and Gunslinger said. Wait until the guy lands before the rest of the squad spawns in.
And again, BOTH Essex guns need to be manned while the planes are taking off.
Taking the airfield at the outset of the game gives your side a tank respawn point and keeps the J-10s out of the air...Comment

The best way I found to get off the carrier is not to spawn right away. Use VOIP, and have your SL spawn, then hop in a jet fly over the main island and bail out. When he lands, then have the rest of the squad spawn on the SL. But do not spawn AT ALL until SL has landed on main island.....keep a close watch on the spawn map and wait for the green dot. This way if the carrier gets raped, you only lose 1 member of the squad not everyone.....good luck.

If you want to play wake without getting baseraped, join a game that me and nismo are on, and I can guaruntee that we won't get baseraped, and chances are we will win.
Go to the insomnia wake.. we are always in there, always on USMC. If you want a good round on the US, join our team.. lol
