We were hacked. Several times over the past two weeks, in fact.
While all passwords are encrypted and salted, it's recommended that you change your password here when you can.
Only the default (TGN Light) theme for now. Dark them is also coming back soon. Then CSN. Then Wrestlin' Nation. A lot of WIP stuff right now. There are a couple of things still not working either. Sorry.
type in "chopper" in server name with all server filters off . a server called chopper mayhem summin will come up , unranked , server-side modded so ther r loads of choppers on the map and u dont have to download **** practice there.
LOL @ posts here, good luck bald eagle, just takes practice mate, best to practice offline maybe ,then you can train until the cows come home without some twat like Sloi screaming get the **** out of my chopper.
I am sure the gunners will love this chopperpilot :)
But on a serious note:
I had to learn just like everyone else, but may I suggest watching less tutorials and practising more in the game...
It will all become apparent just by doing it, instead of reading about it...
I spend hours on a private local server on Daliant, destroying everything on the carrier... Once I was able to destroy everything on it, before the first object respawned, I hit the pubs...
Never got a complaint (except when I solo)...
If you're having trouble with basic circle-strafing, perhaps you're not fit for chopper duties as a pilot. I apologize for being so blunt, but you'd be better off cutting your losses now as opposed to expending more energy in order to become nothing more than a mediocre/average pilot at best: unless your potential is apparent, move on to another vehicle...
LMAO, Everyone needs practice to fly (unless its a j-10). You sound very arrogant with enough practice anybody could be a good pilot. when i started the game my k:d ratio was like 3:1 now its about 1.5:1. im guessing due to your arrogance that QC stands for quebec
I had trouble with the 'maintaining a diameter' technique at first as you did. I quickly realized I was going full throttle into my circle-strafe, so my turning capacity was extremely limited. It's important to keep your throttle at no more than 60% and to be alternating between 60 and a lower throttle (0% works). I typically only go all the way down to zero to change the direction of my strafe, but whatever works for you. Essentially you should be turning with your finger off the throttle, and strafing with your finger on it. You can blend them together somewhat after you get the hang of it. Just remember not to try circling at higher throttles, because you won't turn fast enough to stay on target.
What an utterly stupid, arrogant, comment to make. It's bad enough with all the 13 year old TKers, without having to put up with that sort of attitude. This game, and it's vehicles, is for everyone. Regardless of skill. You sound like one of the "get out of my chopper" types, whom I particularly enjoy 'dealing with' on my server.
Bald-Eagle - go for it. And enjoy.
Hey, I'm practical. Why am I being scolded for suggesting that talent lies in another area of the game? I've seen people slave at becoming better in the heli and after months of practice, still being pretty average... then, the same people perform better elsewhere. Why would I keep encouraging them when they obviously show more talent in another role??

The skill hasn't made me an ***, I'm just like that naturally after having been pissed on for choosing to solo: at this point, my enjoyment comes before yours and if I need to divert you from a specific vehicle to achieve it, I will. Call me an as*hole for saying the politically incorrect thing, but it's true: not everyone, for example, can become a f*cking NBA player even with dedication and motivation... but surprisingly, we usually all have one particular thing we can excel at. In this case, I'm suggesting he do something else because based on his post, he could be better elsewhere. :)
Look, I'm not saying you shouldn't use it... go right ahead. Don't have any illusions about being highly competitive though. That's all... :)

You obviously did not read my post lower down the thread , god your more of an a^% than i thought when you origonaly replied !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Oh and Soli , looking at your stats it seems you do nothing but fly . You may be a fine pilot but if i said the same when you had asked about Armour whoring and which part of a tank do you hit to get 9 point damage im sure my reply would not have been the same as yours
PLEASE REFRAIN YOUR SELF FROM POSTING ON MY THREADS AS MY TANK TURRET UP YOUR BACKSIDE WOULD BE PAINFUL
I suggest you check out my stats ( all be it rubbish) . I have logged over 350Hrs Ground Pounding and Armour Whoring and i have left the Air totaly alone until now .
We all have to strat somewhere , you may be an accomplished pilot but tell me this ? Did you junp straight in a Chopper and Circle around flaggs ? I think the answer is NO .
Without going into any details, yes I did.
I checked your stats and it seems like you're a fairly good engineer and tank driver: have you decided to switch because it's boring now?
Go ahead and try your best, but keep in mind it's going to be extremely hard for you to become competitive in the heli if you're struggling with basic circle-strafing.
Again, I don't want to sound like a prick... I'm just sharing my opinion on the matter and I usually don't mince words.

Like I said, good luck and try your best... weird time to start thinking of using a Cobra, but have fun anyway. :)
I take it there's no beer for me?

Refresh my memory, which thread are we referring to and what were my supposedly harsh comments? :)

In case you've not noticed, people are still buying copies of BF2 and learning to fly....Why would mid September be an awkward time to start flying?
Are we to believe that your can reduce one simple question of how to circle strafe correctly; into this guy will never be a good pilot, and thus should not even try?
Indeed, I just bought BF2 a month or so ago, so people are easily still buying the game. I can already hold my own in a dogfight, though nothing like Colony or PW or MG, but you get the idea. 95% of opponents aren't the aforementioned pros.
