im glad someone at least acknowledged what i said before other epople said they were the same. many a time i had given the right answer only to have it ignored by everyone untill someone else gets the same answer again. whatever, at elast now people should knwo the m24 and l96a1 are exactly the same minus the reload time.

Both the same apart from load time, the M24 is louder and has a thicker crosshairs. Personally I prefer the l96 for the longer ranges, Wake/Mastuur, and Sharqui but there is a satisfing clack when using the M24 on Karkand. As for bullet drop, dunno, I'll stick with the L96, my fav...

-L96 is thinner crosshiars, quite, and faster reload. But same DMG as M24.

I prefer M24, becuase I jut get alot more kills with it

The M24 scope is as fat as someone who eats at mcdonalds. its loud to.
L96A1 is quiet and sounds like a distant explosion and the scope is so thin its almost not there

the l96 probly accounts for at least 75-80% of my kills with a sniper rifle. i love it.

M95 then a pistol shot...eliminates the self heal or run for a med pack.

I find the L96A1 and M24 more accurate but unless you get the head shot, then your more likely to get nothing or just a dmg assist.

M95 dmg is so high you could hit a guy that took a bit of fall dmg and get the kill.
Id rather hit strong then hit a bunch of guys that have a mountain of med packs around..usually you waste more bullets as opposed to gettign kills.

Besides lets face it, 99% of people just play sniper to spam claymroes anyways,,

I've used both L95A1 and the M24 and can't distinguish a difference between the two. The only obvious things are sound and look.

I've found that although the L95A1 and the M24 do have thin crosshairs, however they're not always as accurate. Do to some weird anomaly. I tend to prefer the M95 because the big crosshairs seems to make me feel that it must hit the target.

And I’m still a strong believer that there’s no significant bullet drop to even worth noting.

Yep. Well usless your going for a super long range headshot or something. Then you aim for the top of the head instead of the middle.

Just to confirm the L96 and M24 are identical in power, accuracy and bullet drop. The L96 reloads slightly faster and has thinner crosshairs (easier to place really really long range shots but easier to lose track of on occasion). They have different models and sounds but neither makes any difference.

M24 and the L96A1 are identical except for the reload times and time to load a new round.
The L96A1 has a faster bolt action, loads a new magazine faster and has thinner lines in the scope.

I get on a lot better with the m24 than the L96, the latter of which I seem to have a problem moving the scope around the screen smoothly. need more video RAM I guess. I don't have this problem with the m24.

A last note for the m95 though. this rifle cannot be ruled out as there is nothing more satisfying than taking the head off of some w****r who's circling in his helicopter non-stop racking up a load of easy kills.
