There is a common hack out there called the Imm. Hack (Immunity Hack). Sometimes it is also called Imm. Glitch.

The user of this hack can be immune to one weapon type of their choice at a time. You can get around this by switching weapons (pistol is usually best) because they are set to what you were using. However, some people are very quick on changing over the hack to your new weapon. He may have seen you take out your knife and set the hack to knife. If you see him again, throw a nade, then continue firing at him. He'll either keep hack on your main gun and die by the grenade, or switch to grenade and die by your gun.

I dunno if that specific description is accurate, but I've definitely seen players go invincible before. Would certainly explain one tank I saw that seemed utterly immune to SRAW (and no, he wasn't getting repaired by a crate/engineer)

What am I gonna do to prove it? Hop in my time machine and go back a month or two? Keep FRAPS running 24/7?

The fact that so many people are reporting this should be evidence enough that such a thing exists.

i believe the hotel exploit was addressed in 1.4.....that and the fact he said he shot him and stabbed him is evidence he was not in the hotel because he would not have even seen him, unless he entered the building as well

Not entirely. It now takes 3 people to get into the Hotel...I won't say how but be assured it has already been communicated to EA/DICE and Punkbuster.

Well I'm just saying, with a little more play time you will find out the true randomness of BF2. I myself have layed down right infront of someone and let off a full clip to not even rego a hit, other times I have just dragged my cursor across the screen and clicked once on a guys head and HS'd him from about 200M's. The games just completely random.

I've seen the enemy walk right past my claymores or enemy vehicles run right over my AT mines with no effect. There are still bugs...you have to get used to it.

Fraps is your friend. That's the only video capture program that I'm aware of.

Yep...that's why you should use the M24 and not the L96A1. Alot of hackers set it to L96A1 by default.

Can i mention that Punkbuster to a great job but and its a big but, unless the server you played on is streamed by the admins that own that server there isnt anything anyone can do.

I contacted PB with information about a clan using hacks on there server , (how i new , one of there members told me he was told and he didnt know what to do. ) Anyway, i contacted them asking for advice and was told that they need the clan to stream there server before they can do anything about it . Of which if the leader is using the hack , he wont go for it.

PB explained that if a server aint streamed and a clan are using hacks they wont get cought unless they go onto a PB streamed server . So a UK clan are running around kicking *** on there server and there is not anything that anyone can do.

Video would be a great sorce of proof but solution there is all ranked servers should be PB streamed and an icon showing that it is when loading in. having PB activated on the servers doesnt stop these people , streaming is the answer or a program like BFRM of which a screenshot can be taken of what they see and if blank , possible hack and still good reason to kick.

there are bunch of hacks out there that PB can't detect so don't be so surprised. Memory hacks or D3d are everywhere. If you go to hacking sites and see what they do it will make you sick. They are selling customized memory hacks that are unique to individual player and because you are the only one who have this are almost impossible to detect. Mass produced hacks are EZ to get rid off but those are different beast.
Name Tag, Minimap Hack, no fog, aimboot and unlimited health are there. I did run into guy just like you did. I even tried to C4 him and nade him and he did not die. It is Sad but hacks are there.

lol dont think this type of hack exists, period..... call it lag, buggy netcode, slight exaggeration on the authors part, etc...

I do find it odd that you'd fire a full clip, reload, fire a 2nd clip, reload, then was that a 3rd clip or switch to your knife? w/e, thats a lot of time @ the Hotel for one to stay alive, and for your enemy to just sit there..... could have been some bug with him disconnecting and his player model staying there....

Dude you are naive. This guy I was trying to kill did not even fire single shot. He was toying with me and he was trash talking as well. he gave me all time I wanted until I run out of ammo. We even had recording of it.
Later we had 5 people on my team circling him around and shooting at him and guess what He was still alive.
So maybe you rethink this once again.
Also check hacking sites to see for yourself, they even have tutorials on how to make simple memory hacks.

The problem is not slipknots problem! I see the same thing often and dont know if its a problem on the server or just that one player doing something. The latest one was where I was a sniper and shot a lone enemy sniper 12 times and saw the "X" that told me I hit him. Still didnt kill him so I got an APC and put 3 shots into him, that did it. In the same game I also saw an enemy soldier bombed by a F-15, he bounced up into the air, over the sand bags and got up, ran back to the flag he was capping. I head shot him right away, that did it.

A medic squatting near the sniper?

This bombing incident (not that exact one) has been captured on video. It was posted about a half a month/month ago, check the one called spawn_jump. There is a split second immunity when you spawn and if the bomb hits at the exact right moment the player will do a nice hop into the air. Could it have been this?

i was playing not too long ago and i had a player (DoggednCrazy or something like that) pying on the ground at the hotel (Karkand). i put a full clip into him (G36C) and he didn't die nor did he even know i hit him.
Clip 2 & 3 went into him as well as my knife. I have previously sent a video to Internode on another incident and they told me "you didn't connect with every shot". This time i know i did.

now what is confusing me is, i thought punkbuster was supposed to detect these hacks and kick/ban people. am i wrong???
is there hacks out there that punkbuster is not detecting???

Every time someone can't get a killl nowadays it got to be a hacker or exploit of some kind. Can't some people just be good? I mean I'm not a star player but I don't blame every single death that I receive on some cheat.........

I was commander a while back and really got screwed up in a game. A teammate and a foe were teamed up together and found me. The teammate was a medic and the foe came up to me and stabbed me. The teammate then revived me and the foe stabbed me again. He revived me and foe stabbed me again. This continued for about 30 to 40 kills! I simply couldnt get away from the guys or kill either of them. I was so pissed I finally just disconnected.
Last night while playing i jumped in a chopper as gunner. The guy never told me to get out or anything and there was no one else even on the pad that could have been waiting. The pilot simply flew over to the edge of the map and held the front of the chopper in the auto kill zone. He hovered there until it killed me. But he was just outside the zone so he just flew off right after killing me. These ofcourse are not hacks but they are issues that need to be patched...

You could get the demo of it (if the server had demos enabled) and then use Fraps while watching the demo.

That always gets me about people saying run fraps most of the seriouse players that might run fraps are also the same people that optimise the game. By making pb scan your computer less, changing the name of the bf2.exe, deleteing the intro movie's and stoping as many background processes as possible. Its a catch 22 situation do you play the game with the best setup or do you run fraps and take a hit on gaming performacne in the hope that you might see a hacker. I personally cant be arsed running fraps because its only every now and again i see a cheat being used and im certain its a cheat. BF2 is just one of those games theres that many things going on and it so fluid its very rare you can be certain someone is useing a cheat.
