'get rid of the stat system and we'll come back' ..... there are these things called unranked servers. go play, have fun.

my main complaint stays the way it started... this game should have been left as is except for actual bugs and exploits... and once again, i don't mean bunny hopping.

if it was left at 1.0 and we told the people to piss off that didn't like it... oh how thrilled i'd be. but yes, people have been complaining about every little thing.

      1. stop the bunny hopping!
      2. release the patch! faster faster faster!
      3. ack the patch sucks! you broke my pc!
      4. make a new patch!
      5. stop noob tubing!
      6. hurry the f**k up with our patch!
      7. aahh!!! the patch is delayed!
8 ..ahh this new patch sucks!

If you had let them concentrate on the real issues that needed to be resolved in this game they would have had more resources to apply to said issues. but no.. too many people complaining about the GL whores and dolphin diving and giving us new content for free. The sad part is that instead of sticking up for itself, EA listened... and where does it get them? where else but more complaining.

If this game wasn't something you liked at the time of it's release then you should have taken the loss and moved on. But instead, you persisted to complain time after time. It would still be nice if EA reverted back to 1.0 and told all of you to go eat your dad's ***.

Second phase of complaining came from people raising hell about issues not even caused by EA/Dice's software, but yet caused by the malware infested piece of crap you call your pc.

So how about let's stop complaining about complaining and complain about there not being ENOUGH complaining... why not right? after all.. we gotta give you guys something to do.

Sometimes the question of whether to adapt or not is akin to the "spit or swallow" question, not very appealing is it.

Yes, there's too much whining by the community, but there's also too many reasons to whine. It's a catch 22.

On HABO3 statement, I am not planewhores (I can't even get planes that early) and also, the Communtiy is a big problem sometimes.
Whining is what fuels BF2 and it's Community.

Thats right...Not one knife and Pistol in my server history!!! I'll take note and report as a I see fit!

You failed to explain yourself. After over 300 hrs in your history, I would guess you are used to being RESET!

Re: The Real Problem with BF2

I agree that a major part of the problem with Bf2 is the community. But the community was formed mainly because of the stats. The Stats system is the necessary evil of this game. It is both what attracts people to it, keeps them playing, and drives people away.

The stats are the drug of this game. Like any drug, you need to keep getting your "FIX". And just like the drug scene, it will bring out the scurge of society. Cheaters, lamers, macro abusers, hackers, and abusive admins.
You're gonna get that on the internet. For the most part, its an anonymous society where users can get away with virtual murder. But most stat driven games have the same problem. I recall issues with Ultima Online, WoW, etc.

BTW, I'm a 35 year old BF2 player, and try not to whine in posts and try to make intelligent posts. And I know what a ping is. Without looking it up, tell me what pathping does..... LOL

                    your question:
                    Here it the answer again:
Warlord as a sniper, When I see a parachuting guy sot him once with a M95 then finished him with the handgun. Quite easy actualy.

Also I never got reseted, neither this account or my old one. (http://bf2s.com/player/43517705/)
Uh, I've played on UTAC's server. I know the way you guys play. In addition to that, we see this:

08.07.06 21:06 8.6.76.103:16567 Knives Battles Pistol [KBP] Clan Dk
                    03.07.06 08:30 208.67.48.174:16567 =LOW= Ranked Knife and Pistol Only

So, although you say you got it legit, which you may well have, evidence proves that you associate with cheaters. Simply guilty by association. So, you may as well try to stop defending yourself and let it drop.

The community as I know it began about 5 years ago with BF'42, and would be here even if stats weren't.

The stats do drive people away, because the in game points allocation and class balance is inadequate.

This creates a diversion from the way I believe the game was designed to be played.

I know quite a few who don't bother playing for those reasons.

Re: The Real Problem with BF2

Well, the stats are what made me really love this game. The fact that I could get rank was a really cool concept. Unfortunately, that attracts people with less ethics than me.

BF2 didn't invent stats tracking. I remember playing Unreal Tournament and being able to look up how many overall kills I had online. I remember being able to also look at my Quake3 stats, although not as detailed as UT.

The stats give you some sense of accomplishment. Your character is building. But it also attract the scum of the internet that will do everything to build thier stats.

See this is the Problem of the Comm
People Complaint about something Then Anti-Complainter Complaint and they say they don't complaint. It's a whole cycle of the BF2 forums
                          This system never gets anywhere
