Last night a I was on the 64 player 24/7 insomnia wake server with some friends. We were chinese and my entire squad eventually made it out to the carrier. To make it interesting, all of the members of my squad decided we would only kill with knives/defibs (note that @ this point some flags were taken so only ~6-8 americans were spawning @ the carrier).

The most hilarious moment of that round was when an american spawned in AT with the DAO and five members of my squad started pursuing him. He immediately knocked down two with the DAO and started back peddling while reloading. He ran backwards halfway across the ship and killed one more of us before he was knifed.

By the end of the round I recieved my veteran and expert knife badges. I highly recommend all knife squad play!

Im gonna let everyone in on a litttle secret: Best place to stab someone! IN THE SMALL OF HIS BACK. 9/10 THAT IS A KILLING STAB ON THE FIRST ATTEMPT.
And my accuracy is 34% and my KD ratio is pretty damn good

I never had a problem knifing someone's ankle or torso. 34%...you might want to work on that a bit.

It would be higher but I like taking about my knife and stabbing my victims feet after hes dead.

But, my stats would be better if it didnt count all the screwups and deaths I suffered during my first week of BF2, I didnt know what the hell I was doing xD

The pistols have how many shots in them? Whatever number it is, is the number I take before the pistol.

No problem, keep working at it. You'll get better. Don't pull out your knife unless you know you can get the kill, if you miss or the person turns around...be quick to switch back to your weapon.

Silly as it sounds, the taint is nice place to aim for. If you don't know what that is....then I'm sorry :)

I've been knifing a long long time. I got hooked in BF1942 1.4. Took it to the next level with BFV, hello...plantation knife FTW!!! And BF2 just gave me a way to keep track.

i love the knife.....its the best/favorite weapon....

i always use my knife, when i play IO its the only weapon i use

i get so many failed hits with the knife in 1.4 its maddening

DAO > Knife

So when i fight, the DAO comes first, if i cant reload, pistol/SRAW comes next, than if all else fails i start stabbing, usually the other person is doing the same at that point, or hopping around like a noob, if hes hopping i just run away for a reload myself.

As a true Battlefield player, if someone tries to knife me, i will return the favor, it's the right thing to do.

Players like you get shot by players like me for trying that stunt. Never take a knife to a gun fight however, if I'm out of ammo I dolphin dive and start stabbin' ankles.

As a true Battlefield player, if someone tries to knife me, i will return the favor, it's the right thing to do.

this is something that makes no sense to me and is ridiculously stupid...im sure this has happened to many of you knifers many times....when you attack someone with your knife....u get gunned down....then that guy takes out his knife AFTER THE FACT and starts stabbing the ground near your corpse.....absolutely stupid.....***** takes out the knife after the fact....how lame...they do it to me alot, even if i knife his whole squad he thinks hes some kinda badasss knifing me when im dead....lol TARDS....happens quite frequently when i die

Not to often for me, I don't switch to knife till I'm right on the person. And I'm very quick to switch back to gun if I miss, thanks 1.3 patch!

Oh if I go at someone with a knife and they turn and pull out the knife. I'm shooting you.

LOL, reminds me of a time I knifed a guy...he respawns and kills me. Then stands over my dead body unloading his pistol into me. I watched as one of my clan mates run up behind him during this and knifes him.

well although i do like a good knife fight i must say i perfer a gun even though knife can SOMEDAYS be a quick kill. cause somedays i knife a guy 3 times NOTHING then he turns around and kills me.

Whip out your knife for some close quarters combat fun when you are gassed or flashed in a bunker.
