C4 onto roof tops.

I was just wondering, is it against RoE to use C4 to get up on high roof tops?

ROE has checked the [Spec-Ops] server many many times and they never said anything about it.

well ive used that before, but i dotn anymore because i find it cheating.

Anything I don't think could be done in real life (with exceptions, bring on the flames even though I said that though....)

I try not to do.

I just did a CRTL+F for "C4" and didn't come up with anything about buildings. I know that FF is not required to be on for ranked servers, so based on these things I would say that it's ok as long as you don't fall through the top of the building or otherwise get inside where you can shoot out but nobody can shoot you (i.e: infamous Hotel glitch on Karkand although this has nothing to do with C4). As long as the enemy could still kill you somehow I think it's legit.

I tried IO today, on Karkand... Jesus Christ! a ****ing MESS! All you hear is GRANADE! GRANADE! MEDIC! AMMO! GRANAGE! MEDIC MEDIC! AMMO HERE reapeat X 1000000 claywhores running around...

There were a few people that tried to actually get flags and managed to, later on, once we had a few flags on the other side there was some team work (still idiots throwing nades thought, but not as bad as at the start)...

The same on Mush whatever the name is, Messhu? Musshu? :) ) Nades flying everywhere........... it was just ****ing boring! The server had quiet a few of high ranked players as well, ****ing nade spamming... surprise surprise... 4 star ranks and such...

IO is amazing when you find a decent server with decent players, but it's hard to find them


So then later I saw these guys C4ing themselfs on roof tops, was a locked squad of theirs, so just wondering if it's OK to C4 yourself or if it's against RoE.

Get to a good vantage point where you can just waste the other team. For instance, the tall building that the Hotel flag on Karkand sits in front of/on. If you get up there you can look down the alley that everyone goes to as well as all of the other MEC spawns. I don't think you can cap the flag but you can definitely cover a teammate who is trying to take the flag.

The other smaller buildings that border the main alleyway are also good to be on top of, but you can get up there with a Vodnik and a little bit of skill and practice if you're not spec-ops (www.secretsofbattlefield.com).

I don't care what the ROE says. I play however I want. It's not that I cheat or abuse the game, but I don't think I should have some third party people telling me how to play my game. So, Ill C4 my way to as high of a rooftop as I please.
