I got that message last nite for the first time...

The reason "I" got it is because I just installed the new 1.4 ***** crack which changes the core.dll file along with the bf2.exe

Reverted back to my originals and used my Daemon image again...works 100% perfectly again.

So, if you're using the ***** crack, use an image instead or the actual disc.

Thats it. I use the **** crack because I lost my bf2 disks and I installed them using my friends disks, thinking I could just use my cd key. Thanks for the help! Looks like im gonna have to go out and buy new disks, or ask EA for new ones. Thanks again!

With proper documentation, EA will send you new discs.

Also, I hear you can use Special Forces discs too.

Or, just use a Daemon Tools image. You can get them at your favorite crack sites. Just the image, no disc needed.

After the image is mounted, you don't even need Daemon running anymore.
