To prove a point to Combat-Quokka, jsr, blade.verzilli TF, and Turnip I played Jalalabad IO tonight. On the first full round (I didn't even warm up on the 1st round only 24 tickets left) I got 1st on the team, as support. (See Pic).

I'm not in that list, and it won't have been because I'm out of the points. Maybe when using my name, and including yourself as the 1st player in the same sentence, you could perhaps select a game that I actually participated in. For the record, I don't mind putting up my name in comparison to anyone... just make sure you're actually playing with/against me, when saying you're better than me.

Now if you think you can still claim that I need the crutch of a tank, can't play infantry roles, and for some reason try to "armour whore" infantry kills on barren maps then you really need to consider some maths revision.

No mate... what I'm saying is you can't play infantry roles on a server that has tanks. There's a difference. And your stats say more about that than anything else. But do I care? No... you wanna be an armour-whore, go ahead. I have nothing against you at all.

All of which is completely immaterial. If you don't like IO, don't play it. It's that simple.

You guys are missing the point. People have been asking for IO for a long time. BF2 is nearing the end of its life. 2142 is coming out next month. So, DICE is giving people what they want so they can reach the goals they've been spending a long time in it.

I personally think the IO mode is a blast!

Umm, yes I can last thurs night I scored 1st place as AT on Kubra Dam 64 plyr, using no armour, and only a DPV to get from place to place. I guessed this accusation would eventually come up and have already posted that score sheet here too, here it is...

And IO was completely immaterial until 1.4, why didn't those whining for IO just "don't play it", exactly what you're asking of me now?

And I said you should try doing that stuff (y'know, being leet 'n all) when you're not in a tank... on a non-IO server. I have no idea whether you were in armour or not (cuz I wasn't there), and that screenshot doesn't tell anyone either. What can't be denied is that 27,000 of your 50,000 kills, you've gotten in armour (and feel free to do a comparison on mine if you can be bothered), and outside of those tank stats, you're basically pretty average.

And I don't accuse you of being disturbed... only that you're pointing at your stats as if they tell how wonderful you are... when really, they're pretty average stats for an armour whore.

Again... which I don't care about. The question is, why do YOU care?

PS, if you think 69 is a good score for an IO map, you're kidding yourself. Didn't notice too many clanners in that list...

wow there are some serious sandbox issues here

if u dont liketo play IO then get the hell out if u are upset some players get more stats than u in that game get a freaking life its a video game !!!! no life or death matters with all the crap in the world you are crying about point differences.... how about concern your self with your own playing so you can be better at scoring points..... i love amour got over 15k kills but man IO is da bomb ,,,,,team work and individual skilz are tested to the max

not to mention that everyone is on a level playing field guns &grenades vs guns and grenades no more med vs t90

maybe you are afraid that u dont have the skilz to play manno a manno that u need a armour vehicle to feel safe to get your points.... thats ok we understand you got pwnt and dont wanna play in the sandbox anymore no one is forcing you but enough of the crying please it is making my head hurt

69 who cares, its the spm that matters to those who do care, which was 7.
I didn't say it was a good score, even a 1:1 ratio proves I'm not being owned, and it's the only point that needs made.

I'm not posting anything claiming to be wonderful, I posted these score sheets in response to unjustified accusations, of exactly the type you are continuing to make. If you have a problem with me posting match results to defend myself, then don't falsely accuse me.

Read the thread, I have high armour time from bringing up the armour from the main and playing my "shortstop" role in full map rotations, not from "whoring" tanks on Karkand where 32 enemy medics and support can't bear to spawn with a non stat padding kit such as AT.

Thats balls my friend, first of all you cant walk around with a TOW, you have to use them as they are placed in maps (which is infrequent and quite often in the most annoying positions with trees in the way etc), so there is absolutely no mobility which obviously gives someone in armour a massive advantage. An experienced tank player will also blow up any TOWs in his way, so what do you do then?
The AT class is without a doubt the most difficult class in the game, and people who are very good at it generally only get a very minor percentage of their points actually killing armour.

i can see where ur coming from. but i am aware that u cannot walk around with a tow. therefore i said a soldier placed IN a tow (refer to orig. post).
plus sometimes tow doesnt do sfa to the armour or goes right thru it (somehow dont ask me how), but the eryx or sraw is just as effective if u know where to place it. most of the time, two rockets and the tank is bye-bye.. i will restate that going against tank/apc with rockets is just as deadly as a tank going for poor old inf. and for me, taking down a tank or apc with my uber skillz running around and rocketting gives you alot more satisfaction when you take this huge power out of the battlefield; compared to when ur a tanker and u take down multiple target with the good'old splash damage and fixed MG, it doesnt feel like "YEA! i pretty much owned them". i duno if that makes sense, its just that it feels better to take a tank out as AT rather the other way around. any thoughts?
and as for the "inconveniently placed tows" comment, i agree 10%. i think they are positioned just fine: tow at outpost on jalalabad looking straight at the tanks when they come down, tow at sharqi at surveilence perfect u can hide duck behind wall while hes too busy capping and jump behind and bang tango down, same map tow at hotel u have 360view of ur surrounding and u can pretty much take anything down from humvees to choppers including tanks and like vehicles. thus my conclusion that tows are finely placed..AA? different story, they're ok but most often there are walls/barricades/treees blocking maybe 90-180 degrees of viewing span.

Look, the IO supporters are the ones who started on the we own you in infantry, you can't defend yourself outside your tank crap.

Don't accuse me of blowing my own horn when I post evidence in response to those claims.

2142 is coming out next month.

Hate to break this to you but Battlefield 2142 sucks in all regards so don't expect it to rescue us from this cheap shallow IO gameplay. It is a lesser game than the current Battlefield 2 in every single aspect. The only thing 2142 has going for it is no IO mode but I'm certain that'll change once the FRAG-1 grenade spammers keep getting stepped on by mechs.

Look at them stats a little more closely, ooh gosh, I play NON INFANTRY maps too, have you seen them?
