Open 'Common_client', open the 'Sound' folder, scroll down and you see "taunt1.ogg" "taunt2.ogg" "taunt3.ogg", all of which are the stated laughter.

And still nobody knows how to use the verbal taunt.. (If people really heard the guy laughing..) There are a few people who say they heard people laughing after they were killed.. Imagination or reality?

If so people had done this by beta? Since the non-beta 2142 isn't out yet..

Couldn't someone open these files and post them.

what kinda taunt is laughing?? at least say something insulting like "and i slept with your mama."

It's not really a taunt but a laugh is universal in any language it can be understood.

About 20 minutes ago I was playing on the new map(forgot how to spell it)as a sniper(big suprise) I got a headshot on a spec ops while he was crossing the river on the land bridge and then hear a faint "hehehe". I was like "...wtf?" until I thought about that vetrans program.

So I guess it's in there after all.

EDIT: I don't have BF2142 beta either so I think it really was meant for BF2 without needing it installed.

I was playing and I also heard laughter when I died in Road to Jalalabad. I wasn't imagining. I'm so sure.

I want to know how to taunt...

Well if their in a folder you could always create your own taunt. OGG files are easy enough to create after all. YOu would be the only one to hear what you have and you would probably get a "modified content" error, but you could do it.

It's not really a taunt but a laugh is universal in any language it can be understood.

I was commander in commander view playing and heard it about near the end of the round. Anyone know what "keys" this laughter yet?

i thought its been established already how we are to use the taunt....correct me if im wrong....

one must be enrolled in the veteran program, have BF 2142 installed, and just spot the dead enemy....

some say it has to be the retail version installed, others speculate the beta will suffice, no one has confirmed this, but claims to hearing laughing lead me to believe the beta is sufficient...or u guys are trippin

I've got everything you mentioned (beta, not retail) and I can't do it. Perhaps I registered for the veteran programm or installed something in the wrong order, but it's not working for me. Has anyone else been able to get it to work?

Well yesterday I was on Sharqi as support and had just killed a sniper, I got right up next to him and "spotted" him, it didn't do the "enemy forces spotted" saying and I didn't hear anything, so maybe only the person you killed and ppl around you can hear it. Really not sure though.

I think i am closer to solving this little thing..check this out..

I was playing Karkand yesterday, and as I was spotting an enemy out, he got killed by someone else, and i heard the laughter. This means that you spot the enemy and while your character is saying "Enemy infantry spotted" during mid sentence the enemy dies, you hear this laughter. Same with being commander aswell, when you spot the infantry and as you spot them, they die, you hear the laugh.

This is the closest suggestion i can come up, and unfortunately i havent been able to really duplicate the situation with my friend. But i have heard this laugh 4 or 5 times now, and i dont have anything installed regarding 2142.

I will post again, if i am closer to finding this little thing out,

I heard this laugh as well, as commander I had spotted an enemy player than died just as I spotted it (full zoomed out view after Radar), instead of calling out the enemy, my character just laughed. I tried to replicate with no success.

I don't have BF2142 installed either.
