Offcourse ... all playing patch 1.4 can hear them as they are on their system since that patch BUT without 2142 installed you cannot taunt yourself You can only be taunted at by veterans :laugh:
I believe if you kill someone and get close enough to them for them to be able to hear you and you spot them they will hear you taunt them.
When you spot normally you will get the enemy spotted voice...even if no one is around you get it and you see a question mark on the map. Well if you spot a dead body now you get no question mark so I would have thought that you are doing the taunt. You just nead to be close enough for them to hear you.

I tried the same as above. 2 people just need to enter a server with the express intent on killing eachother and trying the laugh out. Have the most recent BF2142 beta installed (or not) but just report your findings...
One of the guys in our clan said he laughed at someone, so the whole round I followed him he killed someone and laughed at them and I heard it. I was like WTF. He said watch I spot the dead body. So I said follow me I will try it I couldnt get the thing to work for a full round.
Here is the weird thing he made fun of me about it, Ive signed up for the veterans program he hasnt, I also have the beta installed and so does he. So I would like EA or DICE to be able to give out an explanation on how it works?
