I don't. When I do it runs more consistant at 60fps.

I get from 2.5fps-70fps. Usually around 30. Something is wrong with the game and people who are claiming higher framerates aren't paying attention when they get into a heated situation with everything slowing down, hence their 90+fps claims.

If you want to do a stress test on your pc and check what your fps is go here.its a program called 3D Mark ,check it out.:)

I have the exact same card and the exact same processor.

I have 4 gigs of RAM.

I have never experienced an ounce of slowdown ever even in the thickest combat. I believe my driver is in one of the 8x.xx.

Old News. Look at my sig. 3dmark05 is pointless anyways. Low for the specs but I used to get 70-90fps in BF2 64 player maps on all high with my 6800GT and got a 5700 in 05', now I get 30-40fps in BF2 and get a 10,2xx in 05'.

Not to doubt you, but can you show a Rivatuner log showing that? I want confirmation that I'm the only one getting 30fps with a damn decent computer.

I think you mean 6600. If so, I have a 6600GT and the best I can get at mostly low settings is an average of 25FPS. What are the rest of your specs?

PC spec r OS: Windows XP
RAM: 512MB DDR
Video Card: Ge-Force 6600 with 265MB RAM
AMD 64 Athlon
ATI Radeon Xpress200

Make sure you're not forcing any AA or AF options in the nVidia control panel.

You can force AF in nvidia panel ,but have to set AA to Application-controlled if you have AA 4x in game. Other wise it make your console look wierd , and performance will be much lower.

Try going back to the 8X.XX series. I have been seeing nothing but problems with 9X.XX

I did this as well, and it works better 84.43

I'm kinda in the same boat...I get with hardly any action roughly 70-80fps (good) then once the server gets more action I can dip down to even 30fps and average 50ish.

I have:

athlon x2 3800 (stock clock, latest amd drivers)
3 gig pc3200
evga 7800gt (slightly overclocked and on 91.xx drivers)
audigy 2zs
asus xxx mobo
500w silverstone psu

Suggestions?

Thanks. I'll try that. Idd console looked VERY wierd when I forced 8xAA in Nvidia Control and 16xAF.

Now I set AA to App controlled and 16xAF in Nvidia Control Panel :) Will give it a try, thanks.

Seems about right to me, your cpu is holding you back somewhat, i get 99fps @ 1600x1200 with 4 x AA & all details highest, game's fps are locked to 100 & can go no higher anyways.

I have a screeny of 102 fps while at the end of the round (displaying US won by 19-0).
