If I were to read through all the bugs reported to see if what I have to rport is there I would never get to bed tonight , so I will say them anyway .

The squad manage screen wouldn't allow me to kick one playuer to leave a clan member into the squad , the part for kicking , at the top , was missing .

As medic , with defibs out , I couldn't change back to medipak , it seemed to keep the defibs selected .

Neither I nor any of my clan mates have had any CTD's or noticed any server crashes .


ALL of us used the full 1.4 patch .

gorsh. changed filename to bf21.exe because it DID improve performance. now can't play.

maybe i'll find time to fix it. i'd like to.

maybe not.

I did the same. I had to reinstall BF2 and reapply 1.3 then 1.3_1.4. Once that worked I deleted the movie folder again but haven't tried to rename to BF12.exe. Has anyone tried?

man it takes so long to download but it is worth it cause you get the new map. only servers can get lagged out easy i know

There is a annoying delay or misfire of the weapon when you go prone or just finished firing at one person, shifting to the next target.

You almost have to stand on the mouse button for 5 seconds before the damn gun will fire.

This totally destroys any chance of survival versus a corner camper on the Iron Gator Carrier who are covering all the potential spawns within a spawnpoint.

I found a new bug with my overclocked system.
Had to restore to stock clock to patch bf 2 to 1.4.
So for the people with an overclocked processor or so.
Please set it first to stock.
After installing the patch, you could set it back.

I can log in, but when I try to join MP or SP I CTD at 15% of the map load. I rebooted after install, and applied full 14 patch from fileshack.

Update: I had to uninstall everything. Then I reinstalled BF>SF>1.3 full>EF>AF>1.4 full

I backed up my profiles folder, and replaced the one that was installed.

I am up and fully operational. Sucks too, shouldn't have to do that just to put a patch on.

There are 2 bugs with the enemy spotting:

1. Sometimes enemy spotted with no sound but you can read the message on the left.

2. Although enemy is in the middle of the spot its not reported. No sound no message. Several times in a row.

Both bugs happend in IO and Conquest. I used the incremental from ausgamers.com

I'm having the same crash issue, but I installed the full 1.4, From EA downloader. I suspect the problem might be that I didnt remove the 1.3 files first, but I was'nt sure which files to dump, and after asking around a little, others had installed the 1.4 full over 1.3 with no problems so I went ahead. I'm going to have to re-install, i guess, but I have several controls that take awhile to setup, can I just copy "settings" and "profiles" folders to desktop, reinstall, then swap em out to avoid having to resetup all my options, and restore profiles?
<<<<<also, I'm not a private, no big deal, but any ideas why my rank (Gunny) is wrong, I put my player id in the requested slot...

Haven't read the whole thread so dunno if anyones mentioned it, but here are the problems I've had so far:

1) Still can't ALT+Tab out of BF2. Haven't been able to since 1.3. It brings the input focus away from the BF2 screen, but the BF2 screen doesn't minimize. CTRL+ALT+DEL used to bring up the white box but didn't show any information and had no interactivity. Now the white box doesnt even show up. If I forget, and alt+tab, I have to turn off my psu and reboot. If you feel like saying that's a computer issue, I refer you to my sig, and the fact that every other game works fine in that aspect for me.

2) It might have brought back the dual core affinity issue. I had no problems on this, my latest Windows install, before the patch. But now, if I forget to set affinity as it's starting up (I haven't added it to the shortcut command yet) then I lose about 20fps and the game's stuttery, regardless of fps and ping.

There are a couple others but I haven't narrowed them down to being patch specific yet.

I keep getting the

"THERE IS A PROBLEM WITH YOUR CONNECTION"

message right at the end of a round, when there is only one ticket left, right before the stats screens.

I also had that sometimes before the 1.4 patch; but now, just a few minutes ago BF2 freezed when the map songua stalemate ended. After a short while my screen showed some grey/purple garbage when I pressed alt-tab and suddenly BF2 functioned again; but with heavy heavy delays.. it taked allmost 5 minutes to exit the program. Once back to windows my arrowkeys refused to work for a few minutes.. strange behaviour
But the good thing is that I've noticably less lag when playing, now I even can aim at somebody
I've only installed the incremental update, and played with it a few days without any errors at all; till now.. should I try to update it again with the full update?
