Another gig of RAM may help. I was running a P4, 768MB RAM with a 9800 PRO (128MB) with geomatry on high and everything on low (except view distance, I always have that at 100%). When I upgraded to 2 gigs of RAM I was able to run everything on all medium with geomatry still on high. My Avarage framerate was 45fps (that was before "the overclock").

So, it's most likely not your card, unless it's running really hot. Mine was running very hot, so I got one of these: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16835119064 and all of my games ran better just with the card being cooled better!

Re: FPS before and after 1.3

Post 1.3 I noticed a significant reduction in fps, so to keep the game from dipping below 30fps when things get busy, I reduced my dynamic lighting and dynamic shadows from high to medium. I'm running a 6800GT @410/1100 1280x1024@70hz x2FSAA. I've tried deleting the Bf2 textures, different drivers, different driver settings, reinstalling the game, defragging etc, all made no difference. Tbh it's difficult to tell the difference between the above options on high and medium, so it was no big deal. I've not tried 1.4 yet, so I hope there's no more reduction in fps, then it will be a big deal...

that screen shot is only on 1 X1800XT

Were do you enter this information to unlock the higher framerates.
            I am running a
Core 2 Duo @ 2.8 GHZ using 2 Gigs or DDR@800 and a 7950GX2 Video card and my framerates are just pegged at 100 FPS.

When running a benchmark in Fraps it averages 99.7 or so.
I know I can see more framerate if they are available.

I am running my game at 2048 x 1024 resolution with all setting maxed out and 4XAA. I honestly think your edges looked jagged on the AA end when looking at the outline of the chopper.

dude, the game is capped to 100 fps, just open the console with the ~ key and write:

              game.lockfps 0

the numbers will be a lot higher now.
