      Old news.

BF2 is nearing the end of its product lifecycle anyway. BF2142 is on its way, and BF2 will slowly diminish, despite mods.

        I'm looking forward to BF2142

it'll be the same basic idea but it will be slightly different and with the new titan mode it should offer a completely different experience.

As for longevity, football games get released every year and the only things they change are a couple of animations and which team the bloody players play for and nobody moans about that do they? And that's full price.

So bring on BF2142 and their six monthly expansion packs.

Hmm, difficult call. BF'42 had a solid player base for 4 years so I'm not so sure.
BF2142 is pretty sci fi too, will it have the same appeal?

yep, and if it says ALC 5.0% I'll buy that too.

I don't really get what you are trying to say? that you only download pirate versions of games??

You don't know me, you don't know what I buy, so don't presume ok. I earned my money and if I can afford it, why shouldn't I buy it?

I like BF2 even though I have only owned it since March I have had no issues with 1.3 or 1.4 when it was beta unlike some people out there who were clearly had issues. I'm sorry for them. But if they whinge and moan about it and choose not to 'purchase' 2142 fair enough, maybe the 2142 community will be better off.
