Official: No more gameplay changes for bf2

I've had this for awhile, but just kept it to myself. However, I've seen so much forum spam of "new ideas" and "suggestions" that continue to be posted in great hopes of being implemented. Although many are good ideas, and some bad, I continue to tell them that the only thing we can all do is MOVE ON. EA/DICE has clearly moved on already.

So, for those who still believe there is a chance, I bring you this.

It's time for us all to move on. If you are going into BF2142, start thinking up suggestions for that. If you are not, then remain with BF2 and enjoy the fun it can give you. Just realize that 1.4 will probably be the last gameplay change patch BF2 ever sees. You can try to keep posting ideas and suggestions, but I figured I'd try to save you the trouble.

its not that we don't like change - it's the fact that the changes that DICE decides to make screw things up very badly
There would be no problems if they could implement balance and improvements competently

BF2 and EA/DIce kind of reminds me of Katrina and the Bush administration,
they have half-***ed attempts to help but they never really do anything and take forever to do it.

It's funny how each one of us has a different view on how BF2 should be. It'l like EA/Dice purposefully released the game with an open view on the gameplay. I think that they should make the game THEY want it. Grant it there are some things in a game that won't show themselves until you've released it to the public. We tend to be able to find many exploits and other things like that. But the fact is that BF2 is't perfect, the people making it aren't perfect and the people playing it certainly aren't perfect. BF2 is a fun game. And EA is doing a good job of trying to listen to what we want. But that's the wrong way to support a game IMO. That's what mods are for. Some people want realistic repelling out of helo's and realistic weapon damage. Others want a run and gun; you're near invincible style of game. The fact is that BF2 can't be what each one of us wants.

I probably didn't make any sense to you guys. In fact I'm a little confused my self, lol. But just give it a brake. BF2 is what EA makes it to be!

Cazzy, a lot of us assumed this....and I recieved this PM awhile back. However, I made this post due to people still wanting to cling on and hope it's not true.

I would like to draw your attention the seventh word of that PM.

Did you seriously expect major game play adjustments post 1.4? I know I sure as hell didn't if you have any clue what is going on in the BF franchise world you should recognize that most of Dice/EA's efforts are concentrated on BF2142.

I think you will find that its not official either, just because it came from a Dice employee doesn't make it gospel.
