POE made me forget CTD, Cartellery uber planes etc etc
dont care about a new patch...rock and roll bring it on

Try to play it a week(forget about stupid stats) and enjoy.
If you still dont like uninstall.

BTW I played all big mods
    some are pretty good.
    this one is great imo.

Fair enough, i will be downloading it when my PC is back up and running.

POE2 Team, i was'nt reffering to you guys making it into a hype, it was down to most members of the forums saying that its like the king of kings.

Enough said really, good luck in the future

All I ever did to hype up POE was say it's one of the two mods I've been waiting for the whole time. It lived up to all of my expectations on it's first release.

I really like this mod. Sure, I get tired of some of the maps but that's just me. I love the arty (now that I figured it out). What I like the most is the team work that people almost have to take in order to win. Since there are no stat whores in game then people actually join squads and play as a team.

In the small infantry maps you have to. I've found that there is more team work and cooperation, which I love.

well ive found that squads are more willing to stay together and work together then ever in vbf2
It is not necessarily a knock at PoE, it all depends on the people you play with. I've had some fantastic games on BF2, BFV, PoE for BFV with a load of friends on Teamspeak, where the teamwork was great. But also on the odd occasion, joining a random BF2 server, getting chatting with some people on VoIP, it can happen!

The point is that in most games, it's uncommon to get great teamwork, even in mod's, that might have a more tightly knit community.

There are tons of bunny hoppers.

And the reason you don't see claymores is because they kill friendlies - same lame solution that BF2 had for a long time.

Re: POE2 and the hype it caused

I played BF2 today to celebrate 1.4. This is what I have concluded:

The ability to have an advantage via bunny hopping is much more evident in BF2. The reason you see it at all in POE is because the Bf2 players tend to use the same Bf2 tactics when playing mods for the first time.

edit (regarding claymores): How is that a lame solution? Oh no, this automatic death machine can be triggered by ALL humans?!? You mean I have to worry about placement?! Oh no! Lame!

God forbid the guns in PoE2 actually HIT what you're aiming at.

Of course because with the POE 2 system skill is rewarded with a kill. They must be dying too often.

POE Artillery. The God of War. Until they nerf it if ever.

Hype? what hype? POE showed up, made sure it is supported by retail BF2 and installed it. Happy days!

BF2 Hype monster cranked up a year before retail release and we all have had 2142 hype thrown on us these last 6 months or so.

POE dont let go of the dream of a quality game with decent gameplay.

If nothing else, at least it's a change from vBF2 for people who are bored with that.
Two of my favorite changes: no hand grenades and AT kit gets AT mines.

I havent played vanilla either. Want to know why?

Because its boring, and I have played it too much. When SF came out, I didnt play Vanilla for a long time. After AF, ame story.

WHen USI came out, didnt play Vanilla for a while. I have played most of the other mods and there still installed.

POE2 hype was a little crazy, like Jim Jones drink this god damn purple koolaid mix I made type crazy. I enjoy POE2, it looks totaly different, and that equals new.

Some people are shocked, because it doesnt seem to have made the kinds of changes people are making, and I agree. Does that mean the mod doesnt rock, not at all. Its the only BF game of any kind I play right now. I expect it to stay that way until FH2 or DCON.

Every time I want to play a Euro style modern battle, its this and OPK, hands down. I cant wait for the updates either, cause this team is professional and will give people what they want.
