I'd have to say a few of those "top" players really, REALLY need to get out and smell the flowers. And hey I'd admit myself this past year has been a blast playing, but I know I've been playing way too much.
If a player has played over 1500 hours (myself over 500 hrs and I think that's alot) how does that play out per day when the games only been out for a year and a few months? I'll still keep playing and yes, likely BF2142, but I'll stay with this game--hopefully for a long while. I'm just giving my advice take it or leave it, there's alot more to enjoy out there with the game in moderation.

Yeah, I hit 60,000 points the other day, didn't realize it till the drum roll and picture of the golden bar appeared on my screen, causing me to almost **** myself. Really not that important...and some people are just REALLY good at FPSs and get alot of points in the game....

Yep, there are many good players, no doubt. But I'll bet there are plenty at the top who have tweaked the game file for a little advantage here and there...........

ROFLMFAO, don't be so utterly naive dude. I used to play plenty of other online games, and someone always had a handy hex editor, if you wanted it. BF2 has them also.

It's just the way it is.................... Personally, I don't give a rat's a$$ either way anymore

I think there are some things in this game even more lowering IQ of the community than freakin dolphins. Start with the 'spam at karkand' with clays/nades/medics....Also check the dude back in the alley at the hotel sitting with his brand new polished APC camping on two spawnpoints. Now that is a no-brainer, or a kamikaze sniper, running into the group of 4 with clay in his hands - yea, when i see those it really makes me question my dolphing tactics.


Listen man, there have been tons of topics about dolphing everywhere, and i never participated in one and i don't want to fight over it here either. Just like u said, the fact is eveybody plays the way they like, and i really really really think dolphins aren't the most game-ruining thing in the game.

- Time since =1yr 3 months =15 months =60 weeks =420 days =10,080 hours

So he has played 3000/10,080 hours meaning around 3.5 hours a day ever since he got the game.

If im right this means he has made around 46 points every day for the past 420 days!

Easier than what i did.

Try 1166.67 points per day. (490000/420) Other than that your math looks good. I can do 1k points in a day, but it takes me like 6-7 hours of straight play and I rarely have that much time to devote.

I ran outta the fence (front of karkand) and saw guys running in, dropped a clay, kept going, dropped a clay, bunny hopped, saw 4 more, dropped grenade at feet, hopped, dropped another round the corner where more were, hopped dropped another at the entrance gap, hopped out and got TK'd hahaha then... BOOM BOOM BOOM.. BOOM BOOM!!! you killed you killed you killed you killed you killed... I got a ROFL FAKESOUND from one of the enemies, and a few guys on my side saying nice grenade! not knowing it was like 3 of them with 2 clays and 12 guys

And it's a good thing too, cuz you don't know what you're talking about. All you need to get a high rank in BF2 is to have no life, and no girlfriend. But if it makes you happy thinking that all those people with higher scores than you are 'hex editing' their... well... whatever... well... you just hold fast to the faith mate.

Yeah, and if you have a joystick, then you can use the 10Km/hr trick for the jets via throttle control. Happy hunting.

<insert posts about people bragging that they get fast points on P&K servers and digging their own grave>

you can go on a pistol and knife server and mow about 40people down with a pkm before being booted. do that on a few servers and you could get alot of points in not alot of time. or just go in a tank on karkand and rape the mec hotel spawn :laugh:

My point of reduced interest occurred at 200,000 pts. After making Lt Gen.,I find myself playing PoE more often. Since I got a new video card, I do like to play SF now. Before the upgrade it lagged too much. BF 2142 doesn't interest me in the least. Snake
