Why do you think BFV was not as popular as BF1942

why do u guys think bfv wasnt as popular. was it because of the type of war or was its ea support in the end. also do u think the same will happen for 2142 not being as populsr as bf2

BF42 or BFV wasnt ranked ....

Anyway, I just didnt like BFV, cra**y graphics, it seemed to me a game done quickly without thinking. And I REALLY hope it will be the same thing with 2142, I hope BF2 will pwn 2142 after its release.

I hope 2142 never gets the game of the year

i know thats why bf2 is so popular but i was comparing bfv and 1942 and bf2 and 2142.

I think that 2142 will be an even bigger "BFV" than It actually was. I honestly don't believe it will do well at all.

I think BFV was unpopular to me because of the vehicles.

Helicopters - Constantly spawn camping and very hard to take them down unless with a rocket.

Jets - If you are in a tank or at a flag you would be a very easy target for them.

Servers - I guess there wasnt many BFV servers. I didnt see as much as I did on BF1942.

Maps - I hated some of the maps. Like the city maps I forgot the names of those maps.

Ranking System - There wasnt really a in game ranking system like BF2 has.

I realy did like bfv, but anyway on a side note, Have any of you who keep bashin 2142 actualy played the Beta? I realy like it much more then bf2, when the buggs get addressed(hopefully) This game WILL be veryy popular.

BFV Was well on it's way to being what BF2 became. Then EA/Dice pulled support for it soon after releasing the 1.2 patch. They pulled the support of BFV for development of BF2. In doing so, EA/Dice left the game incomplete as several issues still needed addressing. That is what killed BFV.

I like BFV and I dont know why it didnt catch on. Although I never played 1942 my best guess is that people werent really interested in the era. Comparing BFV to BF2, I liked the helis and jets in BFV more. Most notably the transport helicopters, I could fly around for the whole round in one or two of those as long as I flew to get repaired once in a while. People actually rode along with you in BFV, they werent flying coffins like they are in BF2. Hopefully all of that will change in 1.4

vietnam felt incomplete with horrible gfx and it didnt flow right. 1942, ea went all out, and i thank them for that.

i'm not banning EA from my household, i plan on buying future EA titles such as need for speed carbon and medal of honor airborne assault. so there's that for me

bfv was great but i rarely played it. i think the problem was it didnt get nearly as much public praise as bf42 or bf2. thus not many people tried it. i think i should start again.

Agreed. One thing i do miss is that in BF:V you could have the radio, i think that was a really good idea. It would be nice in BF2 but they couldnt keep up to date with the latest songs and such. Would be kinda cool though if you could load your own songs. Just a thought.

Also i remember i got it because at least you could get Helicopters, which i was really looking forward too.
