Yes or No, as I am getting mixed messages about this one.

Can you play single player BF2 without being connected to the internet?

Storms in my region often cause outages to my internet, and as a result I can't play BF2. I'd like to play single player, but since I have to connect online even for single player, I am out of luck.

So what's the deal here? Can you play single player BF2 without being connected to the internet?

Just create a singleplayer account and play.

The best!!! They did dang good on the bot support, and you can use ANY of their maps even on 64 size!

Not if it's an offline account.

There are no ranked stats to record so you don't need an internet connection.

Only EF/AF require you to use an online account for SP. And even that can be worked around (see the BFSP forum).

You could have all the unlocks offline by downloading a mod, I have it and got it from Total BF2..

Click Manage Account => Create Account. Simple as that.

you dont even need to create a new account just click the single player tab
