Used to, but once you get all the medals and already make it to a high rank, you start to forget about those and not shoot for anything. Now, I just enjoy myself and play for the fun and the action. I still try to rack up as many points as possible, while not resorting to childish acts.

Especially when I fly the J-10. When I fly any jets I wear my snoopy goggles and scarf.

I play to get weapon unlocks and cool badges and better rank. But I don't let the stats bother me if they aren't perfect. I play for fun, and it is a fun game! When you don't take it seriously and just play, it's much more fun IMO. Instead of being a stat whore or something.

-Going for all the badges
-Care about there stats and making them look good
-ETC

I'm extremely competitive and strive to constantly improve myself in any endeavor of my choosing: in BF2, I try to improve my stats in specific areas related to my chosen vehicle and attempt to find like-minded people to play with in order to keep the game interesting. Also, I try to convey my knowledge and experience in videos and other posts designed to push the newbies in the right direction.

I used to play from stats and rank and badges and etc., but now I don't care and I have be playing PoE. but I don't mean the ranking system, ever thought it don't mean anything in BF2

That's the problem with the game, to many people take it way to serious.

Downloaded POE2, getting the files loaded on to our server. Playing for fun, and it's the best times I've had in a long time.

I don't care about ranks. The fact is, Ive changed my nickname and started over three times even though none of my stats were reset. Ive sold one of my nicknames though.

However, I do get friggin angry when I get raped in teh butt when uncap is being attacked. At times like these, I want to kill! KILL!!! (for real)

I dont care enough for badges and ribbons, medals to play especially to get those things. When they come naturally, i do smile though ( i just love the sound effect ). I like my k/d ratio, i try to stay positive, if i dont have a positive ratio that means i'm doing something wrong, and i try to correct it, dont think i wont put my virtual life on the line if i need to, though. :)

The system is kind of bad because its like waving a big red cloth in front of a power gamer. Guess servers will always be full of jack holes, but maybe there would have been a tiny bit less stat padding and camping if the stats were given for actually contributing to the team play, not meet artifically inflated "tallies".

On the other hand, I know that badges have kept me playing more than I might have otherwise. I take them seriously perhaps, but not as much as I used to.

I take it very seriously. When somebody kills me with a nubetube, I shout: Hey, you \/\/anker, your nade killed me from ten meters, in real life it wouldn't have time to arm! Now apoligize!, when I shoot somebody in the head and they don't die, I shout: Hey you smartarse, i shot your head, in real life you would've been dead. Now go and kill yourself so we're settled!.

Okay, now more ontopic:
Some badges and ribbons come just as you play. Other have requirements that can be met almost only by concentrating entire game on them.
As for the scores... Well hey! If we're not playing to be better than someone else, or to drive our team to victory... why do we play then?

I like having some reasonable amounts of points like 30-40 on a 32 player 220 ticket game, but most of all I like the warm cosy feeling I've done something to make the game more entertaining. I've helped my squadmates, captured flag, or even sacrificed my life to draw attention away from somebody more important (capturing the flag, or reviving).
