Does the auto play feature search only servers that are within your ping range?
If so, he would have a greater chance of being 'randomly' connected to the same servers.
Wait so you are saying if you use the BF2 icon to start up BF2 it won't put you in a random server after you log in? ( I would check myself, but I am at work )

It happens to the best of us Donkey. Jjust make sure you delete the Play BF2 Online Now! icon and start using the other one from now on.
I resintalled BF2 3 days before the SS, if the # of times played is correct do you really think I visited QC1 mod match server 17 times, ofcurse NOT. I thought those were minutes, which would be a lot more realistic.
And I "complain" because I did not spend a SINGLE SECOND PLAYING. I hoped for TBF2 and ROE to understand this, but the ignorance is something else. Why should I get "punished" for starting up BF2???

I don't think the times played is accurate,at least for me it isn't. It says ive played an esu server over 2 thousand times.
For those in here to call him a noob or what ever for using the play now Icon well hey, wow like you must have been born knowing everything about everything. Not everyone knows what Icons to use and what not to.
You know it seems pretty damn fekked if you use an icon which the game gives you and it takes you to a server which teh company who made that game says NO do it we will reset your stats...LMAO...

And as for the times played it also amazes me that people who are meant to admin the ROE DO NOT even know enough about the game to know that those figures ARE NOT the times you have visited the server lmao...DOH
Saying that "you used the wrong icon" and similar neysaying of the poor guy is understandable. BUT, you can easily also ask - why in the hell does BF2 install that icon, or have that option available? You shouldn't have to 'delete' an icon the program installs because, as you can see if this guy is telling the truth, it can get your stats wiped. lol, now that, is unbelievable - not the fact that he has been clicking on an icon the program installed - heaven forbid!

The ROE should be listed in the Read me files for the game or at least provide a link to it. Even then how many people have read the read me file or even know they exist ?

Had EA clearly stated all the rules from the start we wouldnt be having this discussion.
I believe it was well after release before the rules about K&P servers and High points servers were stated as being against roe.
Can it be that hard to filter out any server with the name High point or knife/pistol from the list of advertised ranked servers?
