I like Sniping, and since there is NO UAV and NO SCAN option for the commander, It helps me stay alive for entire rounds.

Well, look at size of the maps. You can control and defend maybe one flag at the time. There are only one such rifle for each team and it's a pick up kit, so no sniper whoring. Regular rifle requires multiple shots execpt head shot, just like in BF2. Only difference is that you can't see if you hit the target. Also if you pick the uber rifle you can't point targets to the artillery. Balance is the keyword in my opinion.

Yes, this mod contains a lot of hardware conflicts but think of this:

You pick some mates of yours and become anti-tankers. You find a suitable place for an ambush. As a anti-tanker you get 4 mines and 4 rockets. You close some road a bit further with mines and let the tank colony pass you. Then you close their withdrawal route by seting mines on the road behind them. Now you and your friends pull out anti-tank rockets and start the party. Remember in POE2 you really can hide in the grass and bushes...:evil:

In case you hadnt heard, there is a MOD out called POE2. It is very popular, and everyone says its better than BF2. Lets have more polls, reviews, and insult rambles about how awful EA\DICE is. Even though they made the engine, the physics, and everything else including the software POE and the other MOD teams use to make the facelift (MOD) to BF2.

P>S> POE2 is a lot of fun, I am playing it several times a week.

I Dled and tried PoE2.

I don't like it that much, seeing as I'm a sniper/long range shooter its just not my type of mod, its mostly based on infantry/armour combat.

If your a sniper, DON'T GET IT.

Your kidding right have you honestly played the mod...

Cuz their is a retarded amount of different sniper rifles all over the place, not to mention you have TWO zoom modes in the scope....

I wouldnt go as far as the physics....Since flight dunamics, bullet drop and so on have all been redone...Saying it is just a facelift is really insulting to the people that spent lots and lots of time making it...It is a MODIFICATION (mod)

SF is a mod too ya know and 2142 is more less a full conversion mod :)

Playing it and loving it...great mod. I would recommend all to at least give it a try, and to the guy who says it isnt sniper friendly?? I disagree and so would so would most who are playing it...there are bloody snipers everywhere!!

Download can be found in that link in my first post. Once it's complete just install just like any other program. It's really simple.

I kinda feel the same. But then again, I played two infantry specific maps. Though I want to say, yes I too do feel that it is over rated, I am willing to give it another try, because I know there is a lot more to see.

It is a nice change of pace though. Real hard to tell the difference between both armies in the field at time too.
