    Tank Drop

What happened if EA/DICE changed their vehicle drop into a tank drop?

I would have been real mad, look at those hackers everyday hacking into servers and making tons of vehicle drops, funny, but not very funny to players who gained alot of points and have been disrupted by this massive vehicle drop artillery.

true, that wouldn't be fun, but really...how often does this happen? (vehicle drop hack) I think it would be worth it.

I had about 4 hacking vehicle drops in 6 hours, with sometimes accompanied with the UAV hack, Drones come crashing down...Server crash and my 120 points gone along with my clan's server's 63 players, they won't come back to the server...

pffft... dont think they would ever do that, there would be soooo many more tank whores, and the vehicle drop was only created to get across bf2's vastly empty maps.

They might design it so it would not crash!

A tank drop would make a commander think twice before dropping it on a sniper...

Think once, that sniper would go down! 55 tons of armor and steel onto you! And when it turns to artillery, man! One drop at them and they blow up!

Yes, but Tanks have wide tracks and enough space between them for a soldier to be prone alive under, unlock vodnicks and buggies.

Dropping it on the sniper may simply end up in you giving him armor. The tracks will land around him, he'll go wtf? And merrily go on his way in his Abrams.

I tried that in a mobile tank and end up getting squished, same thing with the transport, the humvee, big space underneath. If you drive an APC or car over a guy prone at full speed, he will survive.

No, you dont understand. A lot of SMART snipers anticipate cartillery, so once that sniper gets that tank, hes putting the team one step closer to the victory. Only a stupid commander would take that chance.

One jeep doesnt "cost" much, but one tank sure does.

Actually, the sniper i imagine would be on a rooftop, so if thats what youre not talkin about...

a good sniper is constantly on the move.. bringing us to the point that Chris_Redfield is getting at: if you drop that tank as commander, you're running a big risk of missing the sniper (who will move out of the way after the drop has been initiated) and bam, free tank for the enemy.
