im a bit if a bf2 stat whore but without doubt play POE2 go stat cold turkey and rejoice in the light at the end of the tunnel as you are released from stat whore hell lmao
love it, shove 2142 POE is where the holy land lies
its all about squads great fun but you need voice comms Ts or another
poe2, I couldn't really care less about bf2 stats anymore. The game has gotten really old and fast. poe2 is new and exciting, that and the bf2142 beta can hold me over for awhile.
PoE2 is a really good Mod, I particularly like the different game play mode, I forget what it's called lol. The one where you can only Cap one flag at a time, spectacular! Oh, and the German transport chopper pwns, bigtime.
Frontline, maps are narrowed down to make it almost impossible to flank on some maps with lots of players on.

Played both, and my verdict? Vanilla BF2. POE2 is a great effort and I thank the mod makers for providing fans with another twist on BF2. However, most maps feel like there are way too many vehicles around. Also it's very hard to see your enemy. The map with the graveyard is kinda cool and the music is AWESOME.
Wouldn't mind EA implemnting the base punish somehow.
They are not like bf2 stats there will be no ranks at all you will get NOTHING for having 500kills. There are no unlcoks all the stats are for PRIDE only,
idd say PoE2 over bf2 even if 1.4 fixes ctdsd ill stick with PoE2.

Re: BF2 or POE2
Not a single round of BF2 after POE2 was released
Why? Here is why:
The guns shoot where I aim. Period!
Some candy things included.
Anti-material rifle = .50cal gun=one shot kill! Just dropped perfectly healthy copter with 1,5 clips. Yes it's semi-auto! One such rifle per team. Other snipers must satisfy with standard sniper rifles.
Tanks have anti-infantry and anti-tank rounds + mg is really effective.
Eurocopter is actually flying well, not like the trap in Euro Force
Transport copter (German) can defend itself with 20 rockets+2 MGs, so it's no free points anymore like Blackhawk is.
Arty is difficult but so frigging fun to use.
Like someone said surroundings, bushes and grass really hides you. Ambushing tanks is so much fun. Anti-tanker has both mines and rocket. Love to stop a colony of tanks with mines, laying rest mines behind them and start using my rockets.
If you don't love the AA gun then there is something really bad wrong with you, go seek some help. I mean the power and the sound! Huh!!
I could go on and on, but I just say try it, you won't regret it. I haven't had so much fun in a long time while playing videogame.

Re: BF2 or POE2
I dont give a damn about stats tbh, i play to have fun, and i have more fun with vanilla that PoE2, it isnt that good, the thing i find most entertaining is the artillery, tis great. I too am annoyed about helicopters not having TV missile they were always fun,. and i know some tanks oir apc's have them but their damage has been reduced like heck.

PoE is a awesome mod, tho theres something about the vanilla that keeps bringing people back...must be the stats. but it keeps me enterained until 1.4
