Moment of truth: switching sides

I know there is a thread about teamswitching, but still.

So what I was wondering is how many of you here try to switch sides just because your side is not winning? Or do you take the challenge and try to do your best to help your team win.

If I missed out on any significant options, let me know!

If my team is not even trying to win (sniping from the hills, 7 people on the helipad) yes i will try to switch teams. I'm not playing to babysit these guys, and i want some backup. :P

Ok I didn't think of that one. Lets just say that if the team is actually trying to win but is just not achieving anything.

When my team is completely useless and not doing anything productive, I will sometimes stay and try to help, but one man can do no good -- I will sneak around for the main flags instead staying in the frontlines and searching for kills. But if all fails, I sometimes will switch, but only at the way beginning of the next round. I never switch at the end, instead I usually play until that round ends.

If you can't beat them, might as well join them. Screw being loyal...

I generally stay to help my team by going along the flanks and taking other CP's. But if we are just getting base raped, then I normally just disconnect from the server and find another. Too bad it still counts as a loss on your stats, even if you join for 3 seconds.

I think it's probably more common for Commanders to resign just before the loss.

I agree that under certain circumstances I will switch off a losing team be it after a round or during. The factors that will contribute to me leaving the team include lots of teammates camping for vehicles (Sharq helicopters is a good example), nobody joining my "teamwork" squad or half the team sitting back and sniping while the enemy rips us a new one.

On the flip side I'll often times switch to the losing team and try and help them win but if I find out the team has excesive amounts of the behavior I mentioned above I'll switch back after the round has ended. I help the teams that help themselves

As for me, I don't like changing sides. If our side is getting baseraped (all remaining spawns under armor fire) and there is nothing much you can to to get out then I just sit it out after a couple of tries if the ticket count is not that high. No reason to give the guys extra points for such camping.

While being in a winning team and we've capped all points with a couple of the enemy left, I've actually suggested letting them get temselves a flag to make the round last longer, but after getting unimaginable battering for the suggestion, I've given it up and forced myself to be happy about the blitzkrieg.

The only time I switch teams is to get on the same side as my clanmates. Whatever server we're on, it's best to be on the same team with people on TS.

Or if you are on the other side, then warn your teammates of where they are planning to attack ... an unfair advantage for your team for sure ...

i only switch teams to get on USMC team whether winning or losing ...personally i only like playing on usmc since i play bf2 as a simulator of wat it would sortof like to be fighting for the US army..so w00t patriotism :P

I play on the teams my buddies are playing on, whether it's the losing team or the winning team.

...i always go down with the sinking ship . I honestly can say that the only reason I switch sides is to join clanmates, not because my team is loosing.

If I catch someone doing that I kick/ban then. It's actually considered stat padding to do that.
