I honestly don't have that big of a problem with armor. I can avoid when I need to and surely destroy it when I need to as well. If anything, armor should be much more powerful than it is right now, but it should show some weaknesses as well (it's a huge peice of metal on treads... come on now).

Claymores can be defused by engineers, so they aren't always a problem, but without an engineer somebody has to sacrifice themselves(only to be revived) in order for the Squad to proceed.
That is, supposing the engie can get behind the claymore This is very rare and difficult - especially with clays sitting around corners and such. Claymores can be placed so that engies simply cannot get behind them so it turns into a 100% sure kill.

Yes, you can use a player as a dummy target or a clay. That still doesn't mean there isn't a fundamental problem here. I'll use claymores as a notifier for when someone is attacking a base I'm defending. Once a guy dies, I'll chuck grenades into the flag zone and end up killing him, the medic and a couple of his friends.

If you want a challenge, use a different Kit, because you seem to have exhausted the Sniper Kit, based on your opinions of BF2.
The only reason I use the sniper kit is due to the fact that it's harder. The SVD is the most overpowered rifle in the game, yes, however it's still more of a challenge to use. The M24 is my fav to use because of the bolt action functionality.

I've tried the other classes and found them too easy. Again, this isn't showing off (I don't want to come off that way). I just tried the other classes and got tired of drop-burst-heal-drop-burst-heal combos. Atleast with the M24 you get a satisfaction out of the kill as you know it took you some practice to get to it.

    100% agree.

i think this could be fixed while maintaining commander functionality if people in buildings and if possible, static snipers in vegitation, simply didnt show up on commander assets.
100% agree. Though I'd add more to that.

arty should be more like bf viet/poe2, static arty is cool, but i wanna see palidans and stuff, the thing is, there should always be a threat of arty, but it should have to be spotted and targeted.
    100% agree.

as for clays, make um destructable, read my explosives thread on my sig. as for nades, i think everyone should get two except for assault which gets his 5, and i also think they should recharge much slower.
    100% agree.

this is a lack of teamwork, which is partly due to a lack of info (check my gui thread) basically big squads come rushing in and the only person on your team defending or cutting them off is yourself, thats because people have an assault mindstate, they dont even think about combat support or defence.
I don't agree with this. The problem is that it's impossible to coordinate a public server. Lack of teamwork is really the absense of teamwork oriented gameplay.

wtf? do they? operation flashpoint had that feature and it was a great game.
Still is the best war sim

As for the choppers, yes they hovered in place although flying was much more difficult - as was shooting. If you didn't have a joystick, you weren't going to fly a chopper very well at all. Also, choppers were vulnerable to small arms fire... were vulnerable at thousands of meter distances...

    Apples and oranges.

i dont get it? as opposed to...
Have to find the objective. The 3d map makes weird waypoints ...

I would Love to Elaborate Somthing for our Host Thread here. *cough* IN real life battle was the main point of this game, im sorry it wasnt fair enough for you to enjoy it. Tanks are tanks because one army got sick of being blown downeasily so they decided to make somthing symbolically unstoppable. And when you report and enemy heres what it would sound like in real life "roger this is unit 967 foxtrot enemy spotted at Flag house XXXX" but more simpilar they cannot add that much detail into the game. Helicopters in real life can hover on their own. im ina SAR squad with a huey. Team kills do happen in real life also unfortunatly noone can say sorry to that guy after he has died. Since when did artillery not affect anyone. take a glimpse at Saving private ryan did exlplosives not hurt anybody. No im sorry but Explosives were meant to destroy anything in their path wether it be soldiers tanks, anything. The only thing Battlefield 2 would say to you would be this one thing "the only way people survive on the battlefield is not One. but many that bring themselves together and join as one to conquer an obstacle. Team work is the key objective without your pals you are nothing, and your pals are nothing without you." Dont pick apart a game because your having a hard time defeating it by yourself. "Squad" was made for a reason.

I disagree, the Tank atleast(not sure about APC/LAV) has points on it that inflict more Damage, ie Treads. Out of a 6 man Squad, 3 at the most would need to be AT, leaving room for Support/2 medics . Anyone can Camp the Spawn Zones, you don't need armour for that. Nearly half my playing time is using the AT kit, because there is IMHO a challenge there hint hint.

Yes, this is true, and you've made me painfully aware of this many times

Of course, and you do this rather well too, but once you've exposed yourself more times than not(unless purched on a roof protected by clays) you will die.

How disappointing, you used the Medic as your example of "other classes". Some practice? IMO, it's alot easier leading a Target on your belly, than it is leading a Tank/Helo on the Run. It almost sounds like your suggesting the Sniper kit is the most difficult to "master", I must be misunderstanding you? I agree, the automatic feature of the SVD makes it very powerful, but IMO not overpowered. But at the end of the day, if Sniper is your prefered kit, which you are very efficent with, that's fine. I just think you could revive your game with moretime spent using other kits. Come on 58hrs played, and only 10 of those ours playing anything else other than Sniper? No wonder your bored :p

Again, no offence, and I certainly don't think you are "showing off". Watch, the nexttime we meet, you will probably be using someother kit just for spite

Let’s get this out of the way first "We agree that ALL PC games have bugs/glitches" nobody claims to have played a PERFECT PC GAME.
Indeed BF1942 and DC had their fair share of major/annoying bugs, though nowhere near the amount bf2 has. However, they were able to pinpoint the cause and fix the problems with out compromising game play. What we’re witnessing with BF2 is the total opposite, and that IMO what frustrating a lot of players.

Yeah sure unless it is silly....

A tank should NOT be equal to an infantry solider (assault) hence you have Anti Tank....

Game bugs not a problem are you kidding....yeah CTD by clicking the join button isn’t a problem at all...Changing game modes on the server causing it to eat shizzle, again nope that isn’t a problem... The crap net code and shoddy hit detection...nope it is perfectly fine for missiles to go straight through a plane...

Even are man Colin form DICE admitted that the hit detection was an issue, I mean how many of us have tried stabbing someone like 6 times only for them to turn around and pop a cap in your dome...

I think you wasted to much time writing this BS as well as wasted others time for reading it...

It was well written though :)

And yes this game is great and far from dying....

You are correct. Unfortunately, you never have the people you need in your squad.

Regarding challenge... I could see why if you need to get into a closer range to kill your infantry targets and taking our could be interesting.

Yes, this is true, and you've made me painfully aware of this many times

              Negatory.

Perhaps I was overzealous when suggesting the sniper kit is the hardest to master, although I've only 3 people so far that were able to get in the top in the round as the sniper (usually 80-100+ points). Points do matter when in game, especially kills, because they represent the ticket bleed in many ways.

Classes like AT or Engineer are nice. If I'm engineer, for instance, I enjoy the idea of keeping the roads planted with mines and it works quite well too. The only problem is, there is no challenge in it. You are constrained by doing things a certain way every single time. Yes, it's possible to get lucky and really help out your team with engie... but in the end no one defends a flag better than an experienced sniper imho.

Regarding hours, I had my stats reset for playing infantry only servers a few times so they are skewed. I had 60,000 points at the time of reset and had much more variety. At this point,

Again, no offence, and I certainly don't think you are "showing off". Watch, the nexttime we meet, you will probably be using someother kit just for spite

If you mean me, maybe I have, but what i see in this thread is someone I like playing with/against getting bored with the game. If I have to hijack his thread to hopefully shed some light for him I will :p
