But I have no doubt that if such a wipe occured a huge percentage of the players would quit. Which is ridiculous in itself that people are so obsessed over otherwise meaningless numbers. In games like an MMORPG I can understand because in RPGS bigger and better numbers tend to make you more powerful.
Today I had someone join my squad at random and over squat chat he said to me "Hey did you know that you have the best armor kill death ratio in the game" and it almost floored him when I said "No." (still don't know if that's true or not).Comment

Depends how u look at it - think of it;
All stats wiped - everyone is basically a Private. Wouldnt that tempt you to play as hard as you can so you try to out Rank people and try to grab the top spot?Comment

I wanted to say angry but no.. I just love BF2 especially infantry fighting and the teamwork and all the vehicles.. I don't care about stats I also play matches so who cares? Well the pure pubbers but I don't..Comment

While some people use stats as benchmark and a goal. For example, Ive been playing to get my assault rifle KDR above 1:1, WITH an assault rifle. Some people would do ANYTHING to boost up their stats. Which leads us to lobbing nades over fenses, teamkilling for vehicles, not changing kits but lobbing 5 resupply bags and dieing to a tank and so on.
Its good if people have a purpose, but if they are willing to go to ridiculous heights to accomplish that objective, then I feel sad for those people.Comment

Accuracy is nice,you can get very high accuracy if you fight at close quarters, but you die a lot.
I prefer to flank the enemy and shoot from a places where people don´t see me, my accuracy drops but my k/d ratio goes up.
The only weapons that i try to be as close as possible are the shot guns, but this is obvious.Comment

I'm buying 2142 regardless. Sure EA sux and the game will probably buggy and **** and will end up being so nurfed it wont be fun like BF2. But whatever it will probably be fun for a while, might not play it online as much as BF2, not that keen on all the crazy vehicles.
Don't really care about stats, interesting to look at from time to time though.Comment
