Will 1.4 will be the last update?

what do you guys think.
is 1.4 the end of bf2 support as we know it? it seems like it, with the amount of time they are spending on it, the fact 2142 is around the corner, that there is no more money to be made from bf2, and lastly, Protagonist's post: "in order for this patch to succeed in the way it is intended".
it sounds to me like they want to be done with bf2 completely

I have to say no on this one.. They will MAYBE contuine to make more patches.. It just depends on the Community and how bad we beg the sorrry and sad folks at EA.. There might be more, if they release another expansion/booster pack :)

hey guys some real news now ?? the lines for the "bad" patch of last week dont show anymore in the ea downloader lol.. does this mean something??? yes it means they arent there anymore .. no more no lass.... get alive ........ the patch will be there when its there .. and if itisnt there it will come ... give them some slack ......

looks like 2142 is bf2 with new maps and new tank etc ie the same game with new grafix

It'll be the last gameplay changing patch, that I do know. As for minor things, who knows?

yes, you're right this will be the last patch for BF2 or it's sopposed to be the last....

DICE will let die BF2 cause it has to many problems to solve so they hope that BF2142 will run better with less Problems..... i know, there's the BF2 Engine inside but don't aks me i just play the Game.

And pls, dont ask about my Sources just trust me i know what i'm talking about and my sources are realy good.

your title is misleading you state 1.4 will be the last update like it is a fact you shuld of wrote will 1.4 be the last patch? it might be the last patch even if 2142 does ok most of the good bf2 community will not get it. bf2142 is more for younger kids 8-14.

and alot of people are sick of DICES handling of games. I think The bfseries is about to die the mods may keep alive for a few months. PoE2 may outdo 2142.

Dice screwed up on bf2 so they are jsut trying to move on to 2142 which will not be anybetter.

I totally agree 1.4 is the last official patch there gonna do, why would ea continue on with bf2 when theres money to be made on 2142.As far as bf2 franchise is concern, death is just around the corner when QW is release. Don't get me wrong, I'm gonna get me 2142, when it gets in the bargain bin. :)

PoE2 will outlast the whole BF2 and BF2142 combined so who cares what they do after 1.4. As long as PoE2 gets released we have something that actually works.
