Which was the only contry in Britain not to be taken over by the Romans? Yes that right Scotland, in fact the Romans were so scared of us Scots that they built a 73 mile long wall to keep us out there land, or so the story goes here in Scotland anyway. I'm sure the Romans had a very very different view of why the wall was built but we all really know that it was because they were scared of us. :laugh:

American playing a Scotsman it will never work thats why I dislike that movie, although its a good movie even if it is historicaly incorrect.

You should find out what some of us really did, my family were once a bunch of cow thieves, thats right.. We stole cows!

lol Mels actually australian but i think hes been a US citizen now for a long time. And i know plenty about scotlands history i get that of me dad all the time hes originally from leswalt a tiny village outside of stranraer

Seriously. Spec Ops could be given very crude blasting packs of gunpowder which had a chance of exploding in their faces, and really fast firing/light hitting crossbows...

Vats of boiling oil could be used to defend castles...

Ancient combat battlefield style, with war-wagons, horse-back archers, catapults firing flaming projectiles (built by engineers).

Snipers get big crossbows
Assault get swords
Support gets lances/spears

I think you're right. 1542 just sounded better than 1242. Maybe 1342.

I know in 1492 Columbus Sailed the Ocean Blue... and I think he was packing heat in the form of firearms.

Historical inaccuracies asside, I think that a Midieval BF game would rock.

Actually I think your idea sounds fun though. Anyone remember the great game Heretic? It was an FPS without guns. Great graphics too...
