    1. Ok.
    2. I tried an explosives only once. It was so funny!
Some were using grenades, others C4. But in the end, vanilla is still the best.
    3. Ok.
    4. What is really needed in IO, as others have already pointed out, is some light vehicles, because running around is becoming so boring. And after a while, the vehicles need to become heavier, so here we are, back at vanilla.

How can it be made better since it has not been released? For all we know, the mode played in the BETA will be drastically different than the one in the 1.4 patch release. This thread is a bit premature.

Oh and the "flag by flag" method is actually AAS or Advance And Secure. It is also commonly called a "push" map. The idea is to simulate true battle movements and encourage teamwork to accomplish specific objectives.

Omg support lines and now it AAS, I will hold it at flag by flag name.

If you have played BETA2 it felt olmost a good implented gamemod but still it missed some options.

then closed all BETA servers in europa and no word ever since, also there was leaked version of the full retail 1.4 patch. (just make local game )

        2. I don't understand but this option is ment to make it real gun fest instead a nade/claymore fest.
        4. that is harmor Idea , but then you can't call it infrantry only game mode anymore..

if it would be boring after a while is up to the public

The point is BF2 is a game where you shoot at people and try to kill them. How you do it, is irrelevant. You could use a hand weapon, a vehicle or a grenade, it's the same result. We have a problem only when someone is able to use an overpowered weapon (like J10 for instance), because it's not fair to the rest of the players.
If you limit the weapons you have for killing another, is less fun.
You can't tell that grenades are overpowered, 'cause everybody have them (except AT, but he has rockets instead).
C4 was once a super grenade, but it's under control now.
Only claymores could be in a way considered like that, because are indestructible at the moment, but are limited in numbers and snipers have such a weak armor as to balance things up.
There are always ways to avoid grenade/claymore fest.
But if we look at this as an option, is not such a bad suggestion. In the end, servers would have the most wanted options as they see fit to keep their players satisfied.
We have to look at IO mode like a diversification of game play, not like a better then vanilla mode.
