But what I don't understand is that why should everyones stats get a reset? People have played to earn their points, badges, guns and ranks and now they should be taken away because you have multiple accounts (why, btw?) and you think that others get "unfair advantages (?)" because of that.

How is BF2 dying if the ranks will not be reset after the 2142 is released?

My main reasoning is that, with the release of BF2142, many people will be going over to 2142 from BF2. Personally, this is undebatable. This will have a big impact on BF2, so, to mark the new "Era" for BF2, stats should be reset.
Some people will be unhappy with it, but if stats meant that much to them, they can easily play for their stats again, and probably be even better, as there is less players. Meanwhile, I imagine that most BF2 stat-players will be going over to BF2142, so the reset will barely affect them.
Competition (Clan) players, which some people fall into, won't be arsed.
I personally can't see many people buying BF2 once BF2142 is released...
So c'mon guys. Give the loyal BF2 players what they deserve, and reset stats.

Just for the curious, I fall into the "BF2 stat-player going over to BF2142 and never looking back".

possibly the dumbest poll ive seen thus far. i dont care what anyone else thinks about it.i say F*ck EA/Dice for giving up on this great game, and F*ck Bf2142, because we all know that when it comes out technical support (patches and fixes) for Bf2 will cease to be.

Lets just hope Colin comes through with the Community Ranked Map Program!
