We were hacked. Several times over the past two weeks, in fact.
While all passwords are encrypted and salted, it's recommended that you change your password here when you can.
Only the default (TGN Light) theme for now. Dark them is also coming back soon. Then CSN. Then Wrestlin' Nation. A lot of WIP stuff right now. There are a couple of things still not working either. Sorry.
It's not true vtol since it cannot transition from hover to flight. it can hover up and then down - but not up and away. As sunscreen said, it is technically STOVL
Are you talking about it litterally pointing its nose up to take off Vertically for it to be considered a VTOL aircraft? If so, you've got it all wrong. As long as it can take off without moving forward and using any runway space other than that which it previously occupied, it is taking off vertically, and what the F-35 currently does ingame makes it a VTOL aircraft.

you're right. i should've been more clear. the actualy production model in real life is not considered VTOL.

catapults to push the jet off the off take-off strip. They's hugs steam pressure cookers that yank that jet off the runway at super-high speeds when the release the pressure.
Yeah nothing would own more on gulf of Oman like some 12th century Trebuchet's onboard the essex...
Uhm, *sigh*
Catapults are devices built into aircraft carrier runways, along the length of the run way. It latches onto the base of the aircraft and pulls it across the length of the runway at extremely high speeds, flinging it into the air with enough speed for sustained flight. It's to compensate for the lack of runway space on the carrier.
Yes, they are amphibious assault ships, that's why they don't have F-18s on board. It would be nice if the ships came with an amphibious LAV in the lower bay...
+1 x 100
The LHD should have like 2 LAV-25 down in the well deck in addition to the assault boats; that'd make coming ashore alot easier for the USMC side on maps such as Wake 2007, Dalian Plant, etc.
Marine attack aviation flies the AV-8 Harrier II, and the single-seat and dual-seat versions of the F/A-18 Hornet. The AV-8 Harrier II is a VTOL aircraft that can operate from amphibious assault ships. The F/A-18 can only be flown from land or aircraft carriers. The Harrier is slated to be replaced by the F-35B.
