i read somewhere that the problem is becouse of a "windows path" nr 917422, so u have to just remove this path i cant promise that will help, couse i cant check it now im at work .

if someone have the problem then please check it
i think it is one way to do before 1.4 path, ofcourse if it can help

click Start>Control panel>add/remove programs and then "show patches" and there you should find the patch

It is SHOW UPDATES and the update is KB917422

It can out well after patch 1.3. Wait till next week when 1.4 comes out the issue should be fixed.

are u ppl saying that the crash to desktop when joining a server problem its because a microsoft update named KB917422?

what can we do to resolve this problem?

my bf2 1.3 starts to crashing a few week agow...i cant say why its starts with ctd problems... but i remember to make the windows update and installing a lot of new updates.


edit- we can unninstall the KB917422 patch in the add/remove programs...

Though I agree, it is better to check your end whenever there are problems with your computer. Clearly though, this is a 1.3 Patch issue, but yes waiting for EA/Dice to fix their sh!t is very frustrating.
