Help Me Improve My Game!

I remember the "rate this persons stats" post, an people offered a lot of good advice to other players.

Now im not a good player at this game, I have a few major flaws.

I seem to be good tactically, and get in good positions.

But as soon as its 1 v 1 in close combat, they go prone and I always lose.

I also cant hit people who are bunny hopping...

Anyway, can someone look at my stats and give me advice? I know im not very good, but I can always get better!!

Team score go medic and Karkand easy for team points erm try go prone when u go one on one combat much easier also do short round burst when somebody is bunny hoping lowers the recoild and doesnt go all over the place i find that anyways erm i dont know what else to say really :laugh: apart from try follow a medic around hehe

So u r weak in close combat, then ill advice u to be in a squad be close to a medic and be assualt and blast your GP into their faces just learn how to aim and u will get rid of bunny hoppers gl :).

practice. Your only 1xxx points. I have my buttons like this:

Right mouse = prone
Middle = Alt fire,
Left = Fire.

So when I see someone close, I press right mouse (to go prone) and then continue to fire.

Shoot in burts, and if you can hit their head, DO IT! But if they see you, and you see them, go for body shot. BUt if they dont see you, go for head shot.

Team points are easy. Go support or medic. Medic, revive and give people packs. Support give people ammo. Free points.

But just play to have fun. Get your controls good too. TOok me a long time to finally get my controls the way i like them,

I see that u have got low KD ratio.. i am guessing cos u went for the basic knife badge?

for ure close combat problem... my best advise, (cos i svck too) is to wait for ure promotion and get the PKM, blow the faces of ppl with that thing..

another thing is , try not to go for the awards... always demoralises a person when they dont get a star or something...
jus kills the ppl and have fun..!

check my stats, u can work out that i am a grenade spammer LOL! and a sniper, otherwise i eat dust... literally (karkand)

Your stats arn't as bad as mine. Are you having fun? I sure as hell am.
If you have extra buttons on your mouse like my logitech G7 then program one for prone and one for Knife and another for your pistol. Now go and have some fun.. Explains my bad stats. But it only took about 1500 points and just over 50 knife kills and heaps of deaths in the last few days to finaly get my basic and vet knife badge.

now it's time for the pistol one.

Oh well a few more deaths coming up.

First off stick to one class to begin with. You dont have a lot of hours under your belt and if you want to do well at infantry I'd suggest playing medic. Close combat is easy, a few things to remember: In VERY CC dont aim, just fire, always be moving even while firing, as soon as he fires go prone(usuaully), always have a full clip, use your l85a1, always heal yourself. Remember, if your opponent is doing EVERYTHING correctly and has a better gun then you, you will almost always lose in close combat. Here are a few tips I handed out to the last guy that asked

A few modest tips:

- Avoid the enemy - I can tell you already think I'm crazy for saying that, I'm not. Listen to me, getting in big gun battles with 20 guys is fun, but it's very random and you don't learn anything that way. Avoid the enemy and let them come to you. You are always in a better position playing defensively. TAKE THE ROAD LESS TRAVELED.

- Join a squad or create a squad - Joining a squad is great because you have teammates to help you with flags, revive you, supply you, power in numbers my friend. Creating a squad, you get 1 on 1 contact with the commander (the "T" button is your friend) and you follow your own orders. Never go lone wolf, even if you want to play alone create a squad for yourself, it helps wth communication between yourself and the commander.

- Play medic - Yeah, everyone and their grandmothers plays medic but for begginers it's especially good as it'll give you an added kick if you want to concentrate on infantry battles. Always heal yourself, always have a full clip.

- Use vehicles - If you suck at infantry than use a vehicle to get around. it's much safer and you'll get there faster. As an added bonus the mounted guns on utility vehicles are very powerful and useful for midrange and longerange combat situations. Use them to your advantage.

- Put your team before your stats - Winning is everything my friend. Evaluate how you can best help your team and then set out to do it, even if it may not be rewarding points/stats wise. Here's a tip, getting in repeated gun fights probably isn't going to make or break the game for your team, use your time WISELY.

Good advice for someone new. I 2nd the join a squad part. If your in a squad, and they are actually all sticking together (green dots on the map), then stay with them. Spawn on the squad leader (if he is good) and follow him around, and be his "buddy". Folow him, and help him out, etc. You be his medic, (so u get team points) and can revive him.

Try not to play in the 64 player servers, unless you want to stay alive for less than 20 seconds at a time.

My advice is keep practising and learning the maps. For me, literally overnight, everything clicked and my ratios became positive. Also, don't be the first to rush into a battle as you will almost certainly die due to the lack of experience. Goodluck!

Some tips (may have already been said):

1. ALWAYS keep a full magazine, and reload when you think you're safe to do so. Hang out with Support Soldiers and Medics to keep yourself stocked (or play as either one and do it yourself).

2. Points, medals and awards aren't everything, so don't go sprinting into a firefight just because you think it'll get you a few points. Hang back and let the fight come to you.

3. Use a kit you're comfortable with! There's no point using a kit like Medic or Support if you're only good with a sniper rifle.

4. If you're not too good in close-quarters combat, stick away from it until you feel you can handle it. Stay out of buildings and wooded areas (unless you're competant with a shotgun or SMG).

5. Have fun. It's lame, but if you're frustrated you'll start messing up.

6. As for bunny hoppers...a good idea is to simply go prone and aim at around waist-height. That way one part of them will always be in your sights no matter how high they jump.

Three best ways to get a high team score:

#1. Join a squad as a Medic or Support.

#2. Throw medic bags, and support bags every chance you get.

#3. Capture flags with your squad, while doing the previously mentioned.

As a medic, you probably won't even have to fight. All you have to do is keep reviving the people on your team that're doing the fighting. You'll probably get 50+ team points in a round this way. As a support, it's not all that difficult to get 50+ team points either. Grenade spammers go through A LOT of ammo bags.
