Definition of Overall POINTS: The points that are used to determine your place. The points that have a trophy icon.

Commanders get NO OVERALL POINTS FOR THEIR PERSONAL ACTIONS. However, they DO get KILL points when they kill people without artillery. Though, these KILL points do NOT also go towards OVERALL POINTS.


So, if a commander kills 10 infantry with his gun, he would get no overall points, no teamwork points, and 10 kill points.

I already tried to explain.

These people are too thick-headed to get it through their brain.

lol..i dont see the need for u guys to have to argue to proove how the game works......anyone who played commander knows you do not get points as commander......you have only commander score after the round ends, and its the teams score avereaged (2x for the win).......kills and team points are recorded globally, and add to the global score, not the score that round......play commander more.....and see for yourself, dont argue in a forum

No, commanders don't get points for kills.

When I am commander I see the numbers increase everytime I kill someone with my weapon. The arty kills do not show up but they are still added to your total kill number on your stats, same with team kills with arty.

The reason why you see your points go up when you kill someone, that is just a coincidence, cause that means other people are killing people, and in turn raising the average score of the team, and the average score of the team = commander score.

I know that. I'm refering to the "Kills", try it for yourself. Shoot someone and look at your score while being commander.

Commanders dont get points in game or on overall on thier stats, though they do et it added on it. Yes, they get teamwork too, I was commander one round and at the end I had 10 repair points. :P

Commanders do NOT..... NOT get points for getting kills, or teamwork points or ANYTHING.

Their points is the average of the team, it doesn't matter if you have 500 kills... you will still have the average points of your team.

Thats correct, though the arty kills or vehicle kills you make as commander still count for the awards requirements.

ROFL. I never thought that the last guy on the team would be in the hotel glitch. ROFL. That made me laugh. Thats hilarious. What did he do when he ran out of ammo? Or was he support?

To clarify: Commanders DO NOT GET POINTS FOR REGULAR COMBAT. Their total points is an average of the TEAM score. Anyone running around fighting is retarted. The only time that is acceptable is in a 16 player game when you need every single player in the game to cap flags.

What I can tell you, is that if you are sitting in a jet/tank/apc/AA/ground defense/helicopter....

Any arty kills you get will go in to that vehicles kills that you are in.. but you won't get actual points. Just kills.

Yeppers. commanders don't get POINTS for shooting ppl. that is right.

I hate to confuse u even more but there's a complex(ish) formula (which can be found on this forum too) with which commander points are calculated (which i believe is right). It's not EXACTLY the average of your teams points but pretty darn close to that.. so I HOPE EVERYONE READING THIS THREAD WILL JUST STOP FLYING/PILOTING ETC. WHEN BEING A COMMANDER :P

If you give a squad an order, and the squad leader presses page up you get 1 point, try it. :)

Is this true? If it is... I am going to be spamming orders to my squads.

i was playing in that round.

the commander was glitching, and since we capped them out in like 3-4 minutes, there was still around 200-250 tickets left both sides. This then went on for approx 10 minutes, where the commander was just glitched in the hotel and shooting everyone as he had the support kit, and typing in crap like ' i pwnez u all'
