The reason why commanders Run around as infantry or in jets/tanks ect is because they want to help there team maybe? In Clan matches, our commander runs around killing people to help us win. They prob are doing the same thing because just sitting there and commanding is so ****ing boreing it isnt funnny.

If you really don't believe me, go into a server, be a commander, and kill alot of people... while paying attention to your points. Your points will go up as the team's average goes up.


Also you can try getting healing points... etc. Doesn't matter.

Off course you get points for kills while commander (not for arty kills though). Then you commander score adds on top of that. Points from regular kills don't double though with victory.

Commander kills do not count towards their global score, but their kill scores. So in-game, when the commander runs around killing people, they will get 1 kill toward their kill count but no 2 points toward their total score. Also, artillery kills do count as kills, but they are not recorded on the in-game scoreboard. They also don't get points for teamwork, such as healing, repair, and ammo resupply.

I cannot accept this.

Play the damn game and find out.

It changed.... when the game came out, both arty and normal kills gave you points when commanding.

NOW, you ONLY get the average points of team, NOTHING else.

Thats why it blows to be commander now, the only fun thing is cartillerying snipers.

Before if your team was all idiots, you could drive up in a tank and take care of the situation yourself.... now you dont make any points, so theres no point really.

No.... you do not get POINTS for the kills you get as commander. Kills will show up, but you will not gain 2 points.

Commanders do NOT..... NOT get points for getting kills, or teamwork points or ANYTHING.

Their points is the average of the team, it doesn't matter if you have 500 kills... you will still have the average points of your team.

if you dont get points for killing as commander then why does it show in you table when you press tab?
but when you get arty kills they dont show!
so i think you will find that you do get points for commander kills.
if you dont get the points then there would be no reasonm to show the kills inthe first place.

I am telling you right now, you get only COMMANDER points, when you are commanding. That is why you have points in the "points column". If you get kills, they show up in the "kills column", but they do not give you points. If you are in a vehicle, or AA/GD, you will get kills if you arty, but they don't show up on your "kills list". It's like imaginary kills that goes into your vehicle kills. How do you think you get badges like that?

So say you have 110 points, and you just now apply to be commander. In the short time you are commander, say you end with 115 points.

With the "2X bonus", you are going to get 120 points to end the round.

Commanders don't get any points killing the enemy ..
I've been many times commander in single player and I usally close the round with 150-200 kills but i don't reach 400 points :P

If you give a squad an order, and the squad leader presses page up you get 1 point, try it. :)

LET ME END THE ARGUEMENT HERE!!!!!


Definition of Overall POINTS: The points that are used to determine your place. The points that have a trophy icon.

Commanders get NO OVERALL POINTS FOR THEIR PERSONAL ACTIONS. However, they DO get KILL points when they kill people without artillery. Though, these KILL points do NOT also go towards OVERALL POINTS.


So, if a commander kills 10 infantry with his gun, he would get no overall points, no teamwork points, and 10 kill points.
