    The Carrier

I was just curious now that the game has been out for a while, what everyones position is on sniping or artting a carrier? It can be irritating and wondered how other people thought about it.

my position is that its part of the game and admins should not have the power to say otherwise.

My position is if you don't like it, have daddy buy you your own server and run it how you want then...?

Well said commando. I agree. If there is an enemy anywhere, Kill them. All part of the game.

So if you live long enough to get there its ok to attack the carrier? or is tyhat dependant on the server?

Go nuts and strap c4 to everything you can and them shoot them once before you blow them up. drives them crazy.

Depends on server rules, I personally like to attack the carrier as the last flag.

no, screw that. this isnt one of those minor gameplay change type rules, a rule like this should only occur in unranked play. a rule like no spawn camping the uncaps seems fair, but no part of the battlefield should be some peacefull place where you can have a teaparty.

Try to look at it from another perspective. With the "non-attackable-uncaps" rule the team has a place to fall back. Sure, these stupid 15-20 minute rounds are like quickies anyway, but at least some people like to have a safe spot to build their comeback up, from.

lol, you dont build your comeback by having a teaparty, you assault. an injured bird shouldnt have refuge just because they are at an uncap. spec ops should do thier mission, and uncap defences should not go unmanned. people should hide on the catwalk, and if someone else is flying you should assault. if you are having a teaparty, you arent helping your team, so get the f off the deck and cap a flag. base rape should be around if not only as an insentive to get the f off the carrier.

all these aspects of gameplay and many others are lost when uncaps are safe havens, say no to teapartys.

Shame it is agaist the BFROE rules suggest you read them before you carry out this.

Making attacks on enemy main bases (flags that cannot be captured),

People like this just makes getting off the carrier harder and are sad

A person said the following "my position is that its part of the game and admins should not have the power to say otherwise". Well done admins who stop this. Seen many admins who say stop attacking the carrier or be kicked. Such admins are playing the BFROE correctly and I praise them who do this. Like I said suggest you read the rules before posting your stupid question about base rape. Nothing worse when trying your hardest to get off the carrier and some pri*k snipes you or a jet wipes you all out. Just show how many little boys out in the world are keen to spoil the game play

                            Re: The Carrier

we used to play = attack any base at any time
well - our pilots are so good = NO ONE ever got off the essex, and even if a lucky pilot did, he was soon killed
we crushed every one all the time
so, we changed to no attacking uncaps to give team chance to get into the game
sure do miss bombing/strafing the boat for points
but guess not even fair for our own team when just the pilots got 99% of the points
(now they get 75% of the points)

this problem cant be fixed with rules. the problem is unblanced air to ground warfare.
