Got that's a good post, you know what lemonybrainaid i'm on the verge of doing the exact same thing, those who don't know what its like just have a look at some of the "Banned" topic in the Sir. forums, 98% are smacktards that broke the rules trying to play innocence and blame it on the admins.

Because you obviously can't relate or even attempt to relate to what I have been saying - For example.. You kick someone to make room for an admin - clearly stating this in the kick reason - "for to make room for an admin - sorry reserve slots are faulty". The player then comes back and somehow relates you to an abusive admin for kicking him... You explain it was to make room for an admin. He doesn't listen. The argument then goes on and on until he begins saying "There was no admin... You just wanted to kick me because I was owning in [vehicle]" or something along those lines. Now what do you say? What answer can you give to that... ?

This is a case of a dumb player that wont let go. You need to be a little more harsh and tell him to shut up or be kicked.

While you treat your visitors with respect, remind them that they are just guests. And this kind of "abuse" isnt even abuse. You guys are soft-hearted.

Ive had to deal with intentional server crashes, inability to ban/kick, racism and outright hacking, just done for the sake of harassing administrators/clan.

I agree 100% with the OP. The servers can cost a lot of money and when a few idiots ignore the few basic rules we have it means we lose players who want to play in a fair and square manner because they don't want to be pinned down in the uncapped for the whole game. To be fair I hate having to kick someone as it means I have to either hide somewhere or wait till I die.

If you want to rape uncapped find a server that allows it! Though I've only seen 2 servers that allow it during normal gameplay. One day we will play in perfect harmony with everyone getting on with each other, though I don't hold my breath. :|:

Nope, I've never seen that in all my time, I can't see it happening often, and if theres a problem, just tell them straight. Pretty simple
Whereas if you did kick him just because he was owning in a vehicle then you're corrupt, and have nothing to complain about :)

i couldnt agree with you more, im so sick of the "i was banned for no reason" and "this server sucks becuase they banned me" threads i could puke!!!!

the fact is 9 times out of 10 the person banned knows exactly why they were banned and it was a good reason, they somehow feel the need to profess their innocence to the entire coumminity when they know they acted like a smaktard. im so sick of gettting slack for booting hotel glitchers and have them complain about poor admins, it gets real old real fast. the best are the guys who tk for planes or force tks and then ask why they got kicked of all people, then make up stories about being tked when you as an admin watched them run in front of the plane. everyone judges the admins so fast but if you understood half the shiit we delt with youd go nutzzzz.

You NEED the visiotors just as the visitors need you. They are the guests in your house and naturally you expect them to act like ones. If they frack up agaisnt the rules, kick/ban then. Its as simple. Abuse against admins is BS. If were dealing with a tard-player, they get kicked and banned, no issues there. If you, as an admin, are on the right side, you got logs and thingymajig to back you up. Just brush it off. Nobody listenes to smacktards.

Dont, however paint illusions. You still need those same guests. A ranked server that is unpopulated serves a clan no purpose. You use the visitors to have a good playground for yourselves, so you need to treat them with the same respect you would want to get from them.

There are cases with bad adminship, specifically admins who are just sore losers and come out with rules on the fly. I admit, Ive done this once myself. Frustration got me that far and Im ashamed of what I did, even though this never got public nor anything, and I dont consider myself a grown-up.
Anyway, there are admins that come up with some BS rules to hinder the gameplay of THEIR OPPONENT, or straightout kick/ban players for being better than the admins are. These cases are NOT rare. And while an admin can kick/ban the player with an abusive behaviour within a few seconds, a player under admins abuse can do nothing.

So whats more serious, an admin on the right side of the argument, whos got the tools to end the abuse in a matter of seconds, or an admin who creates abuse for a player who can leave the server himself, and that is his ONLY option to continue good gameplay?

Now when you see the title of this thread you are going to think that "oh, it's another whiner whining about some admin who abused his powers and banned him" but this is the complete opposite. The admin abuse I am going to talk about is the type where it is the admins who get abused.

Throughout the six months or so that I have administrated my own server, that I pay for, I have encountered many many smacktards, who always try and hinder everybody else's gameplay. I do not find this fair, therefore the smacktards who have been doing this, have been banned.

I'm amazed at how most of BF2 players believe that it is their right to play on the server I/my clan pay for. I can't believe how arrogant many of them can be. Just the other day I had someone who immediately said "I'm reporting you for admin abuse" after I had kicked him for raping an uncappable base.

I don't think people understand how hard our job actually is and how hard some of you make it - We have to stay up around the clock, usually on shifts making sure the server is kept smacktard-free, and when it isn't, we have to deal with the idiots who think that they can defy the rules of not only our server but the R.O.E. and get away with it.

I'm not saying everyone makes our jobs as administrators harder than usual, but it's just the select few who want to make our jobs a living hell - I don't think that they understand how distressing it feels to be told that our server, that we work and pay for, is going to be "reported" for no apparent reason - for a completely legitimate kick/ban/warn/whatever.

It annoys me - therefore I have made a pact of some sort - a pact that I'm no longer going to take any abuse from players. If I see anyone even badmouth my clan, or my server... I'm going to ban them - with the reason "The day you pay and work for your own server is the day that you can make and break your own rules - until then, get the **** out of my server." - I'm just so very sick of these smacktards believing they have every right to do anything they want.

I'm sorry for my rant, but I do believe there is a different type of abuse being laid out, and no-one will voice the problems of it.

And I do believe that's my longest ever post on these forums. haha.
